Love is always worth the risk . . .

Neil Healy was happy to be promoted to Air Force Lieutenant, but he's less than thrilled that the new job has brought him back to his hometown. The memories alone could kill a man, to say nothing of actually seeing the woman he never got over. Neil knew avoiding Becky Westmore would be impossible, but he didn't expect the chemistry betwe

Maybe This Kiss is book one in the brand new series, Colorado Ice, by Jennifer Snow. I have read both books one and two of this series and I have to say that I’m in love with it. This hockey loving family has won my heart.

“Every love was a leap of faith.”

Becky Westmore has been a widow for four years, her husband a police officer. She is raising a nine year old daughter on her own. But her husband wasn’t her first love. Her first was her childhood sweetheart, Neil Healy. They dated all thro

Second-chance-romance is one of my favorite tropes. I love to learn how the couple broke up in the first place, and of course, I adore all the groveling to get back together.

The romance between Neil Healy and Becky Westmore in Maybe This Kiss is a perfect example. Neil and Becky were high school sweethearts, who haven't seen each other in over ten years. Their break-up was due to fear of the future—and their reunion is threatened by that same fear. Getting both of them to communicate and expres

I unfortunately wasn't as into the story, as I was with Abby and Jacksons. I liked reading about Becky, but my attention wasn't always on the story and it also felt a little cliched and dull. Becky is a single-mom and Neil is her former high-school-sweetheart, and I get that their romance is incorporated into a mature and realistic everyday-routine, but the sizzle just never reached me. It felt very flat and honestly, the relationship between Taylor, Becky's daug

In agreeing to be the seamstress for her former sister-in-law's wedding, Becky find herself alongside her ex, who's back in Colorado after twelve years as a fighter pilot for the U.S Air Force. Together since junior high, they split up after more than a decade because she didn't want to leave her hometown and follow him in Miami.

Neil is a tentation she can't seem to resist and the old sparks between them are definitively still there, but Becky is wary about accepting his proposition to renew th

Well this one didn't hit it out of the park with me. I'm still trying to figure out why. I think I just wasn't totally enamoured with the characters, you know? Like on paper they were both good characters, but I didn't feel that connection with them at the start. And so it was slow to hook me in. I think I wasn't big on how frazzled Becky w

Maybe This Kiss by Jennifer Snow started off strong for me, fizzled in the middle, picked up towards the end, and then the actual ending came out of nowhere for me, which left me feeling unsatisfied.

The start: Neil and Becky are in for an epic reunion! The set up of this second chance romance/reunited lovers is fantastic. I can really feel the depth of Neil and Becky's pain and passion. I also love hockey, so the fact that Becky's family is a hockey family is great.

The middle: The readers start

Maybe This Kiss kicks off a new series by Jennifer Snow and already I am so in love with it. I read these titles out of order and for once I was glad I did that. Getting to know Becky and Neil during Jacksons's story made me want to read there story.

Becky has been a widow for four years after her husband was killed during a search and rescue mission, she has been raising their daughter and keeping busy. With her friends wedding coming up she has a lot on her plate and knowing her ex boyfriend i

I read the first two books of the series before reading Maybe This Kiss. Becky and Neil are my favorite couple of the series. Becky and Neil used to date but broke up. Neither one of them really chase after the other at the time and it's as if they never really closed the door on each other. Love proves even greater the second time around. I found the same humour than in the other two and I'll say, this one was even funnier. The next novella, Maybe This Summer, is on my calendar to read. I'll ha ...more

Something held me back from loving Maybe This Kiss, by Jennifer Snow. Neil and Becky fell in love as teens but Neil’s choice to enter into a military career brought their relationship to an end. Becky understood it wasn’t a life she wanted. Ten years later he’s back, and seeing each other again brings back all their old feelings to the surface. Becky’s a widow with a young daughter to consider, and Neil`s still in the military. Can they learn to live with the way things are or has nothing really ...more

When I started out looking for a book for this months challenge I kinda knew what book I was going to pick but didn't know which challenge I was going to use it for. I think it took me longer to figure that out, then read the book. Sounds silly now but at the time it was a life and death decision.

I am so excited about this new series from Jennifer Snow. It has two of my favorite things, Christmas and Second Chance Romance.

Becky Westmore's high school boyfriend and the guy she thought she would spend the rest of her life with is back in their home town of Glenwood Falls. Neil Healy was the guy that she was going to marry, spend the rest of her life with. Until he joined the military and she realized that wasn't the life that she wanted.

When former lovers Neil and Becky are thrown back into each others paths the sparks start flying and old feelings resurface and have them considering a reunion neither ever saw coming. But with concerns of the past repeating itself, they both fear their little reunion is just a heartbreak waiting to happen all over again... question is can they find a way to let go of the past and discover a new future together, one that leads to a happily ever after they both deserve.

Becky and Neil were high school sweethearts. Things happened and they broke up. Now, Becky is a widowed, single mom. Neil was promoted and re-assigned to the base in Colorado.
This was an average, short read. The romance was believable due to their shared history. Becky was a bit annoying at times. Mainly because of her taking things on, not being able to say no, not asking for help, and feeling guilty for this and that. In a way, I'm glad this wasn't longer- otherwise I like I'd want to smack so

A sweet holiday second-chance romance!

This was actually the second book I read in this series; I met Becky in book 2 and liked her so much I HAD to read her story in this book!

Becky is one of my favorite characters. She's so sassy and funny, and her occasional potty mouth only makes her more realistic.

Neil was adorable, and I loved how he refused to let Becky go without a fight.

I am SO happy there are 2 more brothers to be written about, because it's DEFINITELY a good, sweet, steamy, solid conte

I absolutely enjoyed this short second chance romance book. When Neil and Becky are reunited the chemistry is stronger than ever and old feelings resurface. Will they learn from past mistakes? Can Neil be the. Man Becky and her daughter Taylor need? I loved the characters and the fun this story bought. This is a great read to starting of series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.

A solid 3 star read.

I liked it but I didn't love it. It needed a little something more. Maybe it needed to be fleshed out a bit more, maybe even a bit longer, even.

I found it very sweet and cosy but it didn't wow me.

This a an awesome second chance that kicks off what looks like a great new series. Becky broke Neil's heart years ago when she broke things off with him. She couldn't face the lonely and fearful life of a military wife. Now they have a second chance. Will she have the strength to love him again?

I definitely recommend this one.

My oh my….what a great second chance romance. And with a man in uniform to boot….had me swooning. Maybe This Kiss begins with Neil returning to his home town as a result of a promotion after 12 long years. He left his lady love, Becky, when he enlisted with the Air Force. Actually, if truth be told, Becky could not handle the uncertainty of a military spouse when Neil begged her to go with him to Miami:

MAYBE THIS KISS, the first book in the Colorado Ice series by Jennifer Snow, is the perfect novella to get you in the holiday spirit.
Becky Westmore and Neal Healy were high school sweethearts in the small, hockey crazed, mountain town of Glenwood Falls, Colorado. After high school, Neal joined the Air Force and he asked Becky to go with him. She was very young and afraid of what the future might hold for them so she broke up with him and stayed behind.
Several years later, Becky now finds herse

Maybe This Kiss by Jennifer Snow is a great second chance romance about two high school sweethearts who let their fear of the unknown pull them apart. Instead of fighting for what they wanted after graduation, fighting for who they wanted, they went their separate ways and despite their reunion now, those same fears threaten to overshadow the feelings they still have for one another.

I really enjoyed this story. It was sweet, the characters and storyline were perfectly crafted, and the writing wa

In a sweet kick-off to her new Colorado Ice series, Jennifer Snow brings us a short story about finding love again after loss ... with the one that got away years ago! I loved the characters, and my favorite "awww" moments were his interactions with her daughter ... so sweet! Great set up to the series! Can't wait to read more of the Westmores!

I am a little bit in shock over how I just gobbled this book up. It's a light, quick read - easily done in a day - but I literally was unable to pull my face away from it and I devoured it in mere hours.

This was a rare kind of gem for me -- I am sometimes put off by novellas because they move too quickly and I feel like I'm not given enough time to connect to the romance. Not the case at all here - I connected quickly and easily and -- rather deeply. It's just such a wonderful second-chance sto
