True Mercy is a page-turning thriller. This book takes on two serious, current topics: autism and sex trafficking. Marina, one of the main characters, as a victim of sex-traffickers, is a believable model of someone who wants to fight back. The interactions between Bruce and Adam, his son who happens to have autism, show the seriousness of how the autistic person and his family cope with day-to-day living. The scenes between two of the kidnappers, who attempt to recapture Marina, create suspense ...more

This story blends two very different streams into one very cohesive story. Autism and human trafficking are the two streams and the way they blend will grab your attention and hold it until the very end. You will love Adam, Marina, Bruce and Aunt Judy. The twists and turns in the story will hold you spellbound.

If you are looking for a thriller with a heart, this could be the book for you!

Idelle Kursman is a rising star.

What a fascinating book! From page one, the reader is pulled in and the author, Idelle H. Kursman, doesn't lose the reader's attention. 'True Mercy' is an intriguing story about love and human trafficking.
Marina Dobrin is kidnapped and chained to a bed on a ship going where, she doesn't know. She is not alone. There are many other young girls suffering the same fate. The girls are drugged daily while they travel further and further away from their homeland, Moldova. Finally docking in America,

First, I want to thank Idelle Kursman for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

True Mercy by Idelle Kursman immediately got my attention by the fast paced, detailed in depth descriptions, and intense scenes in the prologue had you moved just in the prologue. Then the tone changed when you met Adam and Bruce. It was one of the most unique books I have ever read. So much packed into this short book as well.

I didn’t care for the Sergi or Igor characters at all!! Especially w

I was sent a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Let's start on a positive note by talking about the things I liked about this book.I loved our main characters Bruce (most of the time), Adam and Marina. It also made me very happy to see representation of autism in this book. The story was very entertaining and exciting, it really was a page turner. Although there is quite a lot of action in this book, the focus in this book lies on the characters and thei

The book is filled with action but not the kind you are used to. It's different! It gives you the story of Marina, who went through so many horrible things, combined with the story of Adam and his dad, Bruce, that are trying hard to find their balance now that they have lost Adam's mum.

Adam is such a sweet young man and the book does a great job in showing the reader the difficulties that a parent faces in bringing up an autistic child but it also showcases the awesomeness that autis

True Mercy reads more like a tv show than a book. However, once you start really getting into it, you can't wait to find out the fate of Marina, Bruce and Adam. Set under the background of human trafficking and autism, the story sometimes becomes gut-cringingly real. The descriptions of how girls are kidnapped and kept as sex slaves are hard to read. The highlight of the story however is the human interaction between Marina, the kidnapped victim, Adam, the autistic child and Bruce, the flustered ...more

When I received the review request for True Mercy I was immediately interested. The plot sounds gripping and very deep. And, to my pleasure, that is what this book was.

I did enjoy this book pretty well. There were things I didn't exactly love, like some of the character development and dialogue, but it was a good read overall. I would probably recommend this book and maybe even read it again myself sometime.

I won this book through a Goodreads Giveaway. The premise of the book was good, and I really enjoyed the action at the ending of the book. Some of the dialogue and character thinking was unrealistic to me but overall a decent read. You were definitely rooting for the good guys!
