James K. Papp's work is inspired by mystery and awe. The camera and pen are magical portals for him to connect more deeply with the world. His writings and art honors connection with Nature as our ally to cultivate more harmony in life.
After struggling with financial hardships, family loss, and health for two years (feeling exhausted and beaten by life) I picked up a copy of Inquire Within. It resonated immediately with the inner turmoil I was going through. I'd reached a crossroad without realizing it. I didn't feel like me anymore. My sense of humor had vanished. I felt stuck in a never-ending cycle of doom.
Inquire Within was a guiding light in reconnecting with the Spirit, nature, self-care, kindness, and gratitude. I noticed a shift in my attitude and overall energy as I was reading and applying the lessons to my daily life.
One of my big worries had been attracting more bad things into my life with a negative attitude. Even knowing this, I still couldn't break through my funk. It was a box made of concrete. All I really needed was the right guide to start myself take the right steps in a more positive direction. I am grateful for James K. Papp for sharing his journey and knowledge in such a helpful, easy to read and understand way that can be applied in daily life immediately.
With James K. Papp's kind and wise counsel in "Inquire Within" and in his blog posts and other writing, he is one of my most valued teachers/coaches. You could say that I'm biased because James is my husband. I do have the added benefit of his in-person friendship and counsel. His caring guidance has helped me in so many positive ways. James speaks of the "crossroads in life" that we all come to again and again; difficult or traumatic passages such as divorce, death of a loved one, abuse, loss of a job, a health challenge, and more. My family and I have had many of these challenges. The principles and guidance James offers in this non-denominational "Spiritual Practice 101" book have been so easy to use and have helped me through some very tough times.
I reviewed the book for James Papp and now, a year or two later I am reading it again. I find it a good measure for my personal growth: where I was then and where I am now. This book was my first exposure to spirituality and I found it very interesting even though a bit difficult to follow. I am curious to see how that is now.
