Bartending at The Spot in Los Angeles was a temporary gig for starving artist Daisy. Whether that meant catching her big break or burning the place down, she was determined to color the world wıth her paintings. Arson seemed like the less likely of the two when she learned that a frequent patron, Mike, was an agent with top-shelf connections in the art world.

This is my first read by Ty Mitchell. I liked the book. Mitchell brings us a funny and poignant tale of Daisy a struggling artist and Mike - an up and coming talent broker. Mike takes a bet to see if he can bed the fair Daisy.
I have to admit that I had a bit of a hard time getting started. Daisy and Mike playing around each other was making me a bit batty. On their first supposed date - Daisy brings her girlfriend with her, and thinking that she is her besty and not her partner is Mike's first ...more

Daisy works at the local bar attended by Mikes group of friends. She is not interested in going out with any of the patrons and does everything to ward off their advances. Mike is not so easily put off and his perseverance lands him a business meeting with Daisy. Their friendship turns to much more and Daisy must decide if Mike really is the one for her.

A great read, the main characters in this book are Daisy and Mike. Daisy is an artist struggling to make a name for herself and doing bar work to earn some money in the meantime. Mike in the meantime is an agent with connections. Whilst drinking in The Spot where Daisy works, he accepts a bet with his friends that he will bed her but no time limit is to be set. Daisy realises that with Mike's help, she will be able to get noticed in the art world. They soon realise that they actually feel someth

In The Color of Love, Daisy is a struggling artist working as a bartender. She’s willing to do whatever it takes to get her work noticed, and cozying up to Mike, an agent with strong connections in the art work, seems like the perfect plan of action. Mike too has ulterior motives when he tries to seduce Daisy – but neither of them expected to feel something real.

I was super excited to win this book because it sounded like the kind of thing I normally really love, and I wasn't disappointed. It was a really fun, light hearted, fast paced love story about Daisy and Mike, an artist trying to make it, and an agent for top shelf artists. After a misunderstanding at a concert, Mike makes a bet with his friends regarding Daisy. It's a little bit similar to the movie "She's All That", but it's a fun story and an easy read. I'd recommend it.

This is the first book I have read by Ty Mitchell. This book went in so many directions that it was a hard for me to stay focused. I did find some of this book funny but at times I wanted to reach through my kindle and slap someone. This is a fast paced read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Obviously I'm not going to go on and on about how amazing my book is (even though I believe in my heart it is). Instead I wanted to take this opportunity to briefly give my inspiration behind it.
The Color of Love was a screenplay I wrote some years back originally named The Shape of Love. It was loosely based off an experience I had in the past, but the story itself has grown into something I've never imagined it to be over the past few years. The motivation behind the novel was about following ...more

I liked the premise of this book and the first few chapters, however I was soon disappointed. Not only was their cheating, lying, inappropriate behaviour and name-calling, but I feel like the ending was incomplete and rushed. The whole situation the main character found herself in could have easily been avoided and by the end I didn't like any of the characters mostly due to their lack of morals.
