This is a DK proficient reader for about grades 3-5.
This nonfiction book is LOADED with photographs, maps, and just about everything about sled dog racing appropriate for children of that age.

There is a Table of Contents at the beginning and a good glossary at the end. The book is well organized and thorough. The facts presented in the text come alive through photos.

Well worth 5 stars and a fun and interesting way to get kids to read some non fiction.

Really interesting book about dog racing, including the history of the sport, information of several big races, and brief bios of some of the more famous dog sledders. There are some really great photographs included as well. Great choice for kids interested in the subject.
