An essential read that will bring you as close as you can possibly get to the King and his subjects! It’s a shame that the Gesta ends with the parting of Henry and Sigismund, it would have been cool to see the author’s view on the rest of Henry’s reign.

Maybe somewhere, either undiscovered or under private ownership, is a follow-up by this unnamed priest that would give the story closure.
