Bexley and Holden were best friends in high school, attracted to each other -- even in love with each other -- but nothing ever happened between them. He was a player, she was a good girl, but they planned to move to Hollywood together to follow their acting dreams. But then Bex backs out, and Holden is devastated. Four years later, they reconnect at the unveiling of the new theater Holden (now a huge Hollywood action hero star) had built at their old high school, where Bexley is now the student teacher of the drama department. The spark still flames between them, they finally confess their feelings for one another, but they both have a multitude of issues to work through.
There's more to Holden than being a man-whore who acts in fluff superhero films, and super-controlled Bexley needs to learn how to follow her own heart rather than the course her parents have laid out for her.
This was a quick, easy read, and enjoyable! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
