If you're looking for a great suspenseful read, this may be the book for you.

The plot was amazing and had me hooked from the start. Marnie was a reforming 'criminal' and experienced hacker for Whitman Enterprises (WE), tasked with investigating delinquent accounts. Her latest project was Dane MacLain, a man who was determined to take down WE, which he believed was involved with his wife's murder. The more Marnie investigated him, the more she liked him. Somehow she discovered that WE was not the

This is an action packed suspense, a real page turner that I just didn’t want to put down until I’d finished it. You are immersed into the action from the very first page, with car chases, treks through the wilderness, lethal gunmen and so much more.

At the heart of the story is Dane MacLain, an ex-detective whose wife and daughter were kidnapped to get him to stop his investigations. Although he has his daughter back, his wife was murdered and his daughter now won’t talk. He’s still determined t

This is a non stop action packed romance. The first paragraph starts out with action all the way until the last chapter. Marine has had to look out for herself since she was five. She doesn't know how to depend on anyone else. Dane is hoping she'll learn to with him. Dane wants to find his wife's killer and daughters kidnappers. Only with Marine's help can he accomplish this. Betrayed by a Kiss is a fast pace book, simply because I just couldn't put it down.

Marnie, a reformed hacker turned investigator for Whitman Enterprises, has been working a case for two months that just seems off. As she can't resist a mystery, she decides to do a little digging on her boss's computer. She never expected the truth she would uncover, nor that she'd be injured while running from a killer. The information she found could ruin the company she works for, not to mention implicate a lot of people for their parts in it. She knows that she needs to warn th

Received in exchange for a honest review.

Dane is amazeballs. How protective he is of his daughter and sister wow. And when Marnie comes into the picture and he just brings her into his world and trusts her implicitly is wonderful.

I felt for Marnie. She thought she was going legit and finds out that the company she works for has been bad and duping her so wrong. I loved her strength and desire to right the wrongs.

The story that unfolds and the secrets that are revealed have you reeling. Poor Dane

Marnie Somerville loves her job as the resident investigator at Whitman Enterprises, because she gets to use her skills tracking down the owners of delinquent accounts. She's never had questions about any of the cases that come across her desk, until she is working on the MacLain file. Marnie loves a good mystery, so when it seemed off, she hacked her boss' computer, where she finds secret files/cover ups. She's now convinced that her boss and company are dangerous, so she runs to warn Dane. For ...more

Betrayed by a Kiss is my first time reading Kris Rafferty and I have to say that the aura of mystery and non stop action is very good. The book will have you turning pages just to find out what happens next.

Holy romantic suspense - Betrayed by Kiss kept me on my toes!! I was devouring chapter after chapter because there was never a spot where I could stop reading. I had to see what happened next for the main couple. I loved it.

The book starts with a bang and doesn't seriously let up until the very last page. Marnie, our book's heroine is a computer hacker who thought that she had turned her life around and was finally on the right side of the law. So she is shocked to find out that not only is she

Wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book. I normally don’t go for contemporary, especially with a suspense/thriller aspect to it. But I was pleasantly surprised by the novel. I enjoyed the author’s style and storytelling. It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a hero such as hers and the banter between her leads was both amusing and enticing. Her heroine was quirky and had a good heart despite my not agreeing with every action she did.

Overall, Rafferty’s fast-paced romance was perfec

I enjoyed this latest book written by this author very much. She knows how to pull you in immediately from the very beginning. It starts out with action which makes it very difficult to put it down. Parts of it actually had me sitting on the edge of my seat. When she was at Whitman Enterprisers and saw the man that shot at her I broke out in a cold sweat because I could totally relate to the fear she was going through. Hopefully there will be another book about Marnie and Dane because they work ...more

Betrayed By a Kiss is a book where I expected one thing and got something so much better! It blew my socks off! I LOVED Marnie! If I could turn fictional characters to life and were gay I would totally marry her. She was THAT awesome. She was so kick ass that I wanted to be her and was so into Dane because he got to be with her! It was insane! Dane is the perfect blend of hot cop, bad boy and sexy dad. He rocks it all. Lighter than most books I read but no less enjoyable.

A great paced romantic/suspense book that captivated from the start.
Marnie Somerville is a fantastic heroine with smarts that just compelled me to keep reading.
Detective Dane MacLain was another character with intelligence to go along with his sexy demeanor.

Over all I enjoyed the story and the writing style. I would definitely keep this author on my reading list.

This book had me right up until the end....when it just sort of fizzled out. I thought everything at WE ended much too quickly given the incredible build up throughout the entire book.

Marnie was too closed off for me...I wanted her to open up at some point to Dane. She mentioned her mother once in passing but otherwise he knew nothing about her past. He opened his heart to her yet I didn't feel as if she ever did the same.

OMG – I don’t think that I have been hooked by a book as quickly as I was with this one. I couldn’t read it fast enough there were so many unexpected twists I just wanted more and more. I love books that keep me guessing until the very end and that’s definitely what happened with this one.

The story is about Marnie Somerville who works for Whitman Enterprises as a tracker. Her job involves finding owners of delinquent accounts and tracking them.

This is my first read by this author and I know that I will waiting to read the next book in this new series. Betrayed by a Kiss was filled with suspense with action and some romance. I know that I wanted to know who had kidnapped mother and daughter. It was sad to know that Dane’s daughter, Elizabeth, didn’t speak. But all that changed the moment that Marnie walked into his life. This was a fun read, with lots of action and twists.

We meet Marnie and Dane. They are both linked in a way they never wished, with Marnie having to follow his every move, because she was told he might be bad business. The more she watches him, the more she realizes that the things she was told are not true.

Once she goes rogue, that’s when things start getting dangerous for her and for Dane. All Dane wanted was to find his wife’s murderer, but with the help of Marnie, he got a whole lot

This was a very interesting story of street smarts, right vs. wrong, survival, trust, and intense emotion. I enjoyed the unique character of Marnie. She was tough as nails, yet had a soft spot for Dane, just from watching him from afar. I loved his immediate protectiveness of Marnie. They needed each other and complemented one another perfectly. I enjoyed the risks and dangerous situations, yet planning in their parts. A great story with a little extra spice and strong family loyalty.

Gripping suspense and non-stop action would get your heart pumping for this one. Exciting drama that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

Great story, but there are some disconnect with the characters' actions, reactions and dialogues sometimes that I nearly stopped reading. I'm glad that I didn't, though, because it was a good read. The writing could be better, though. I know the author could only get better, and I can't wait to read more of this author.

Her book held my interest until the last page. It was one of those books you don't want to put down and if you have to, you can't wait to pick up again. The main characters were very strong and likable. Can't wait for the next book. Sent for the paperback to keep in my library.
