So this is a recommendation from the Fated Mates podcast (my new obsession). They did an episode on Novellas that had me reconsidering my general MEH regarding them.
This is a two part novella. The first one was MEH. Super short. The second had more substance and was more interesting to me.

So, what will Virginia Greening do as she gets 'pitied looks and backhanded whispers leaving her to feel left out.'

Who is this 'incubus James Grieve' that ask Ms Greening for a dance? What will happen when she accepts. Will one thing lead into another 'number of passionate sins and pleasurable vices for these two?.' What will happen when James 'develops a most inconvenient soul of his own?'
Who will James Grieve get help him from in order to put his situation into play with Ms. Greening?
Now to get all of these questions answered and so much more you will have to pick up "Happily Ever Afterlives.' Be ready a read of "seductive demons, determined mortals and lot of the best king of sin." I found this was a very well written read that will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what will be happening next. Yes, this is somewhat a erotica read too!

Paranormal historical romance?! Sign me up! I enjoyed the first story about a rake-ish Lord that died in battle falling for his demoness torturer in Hell. However, I really really liked the second story about the same Lord's ex-fiancee falling for an incubus. I don't want to spoil anything but I just really love how both Virginia and James group into their love. The ending is heart-warming.

Composed of two stories, both of them with lots of explicit sex that’s fairly easy to skip if that’s your fancy to follow the story instead. I liked the second story in particular, because feminist and a recognition of introverts vs extroverts needs. Plus it was fun.
