Seductive demons. Determined mortals. And a lot of the best kind of sin...
DAMNED IF YOU DO: Lord Lambourne's sexual prowess has unfortunately condemned him to Hell for lust. But sharp and sultry Idared, the demoness assigned to punish him, is proving to be his greatest temptation yet. Too bad Lambourne's mortal fiancée and her awful violin are on their way to rescue him.
HELL AND HELLION: Virginia Greening always loved the dash and dazzle of London society -- but after being jilted by the man she rescued from Hell, the pitying looks and backhanded whispers only leave her feeling left out. Worse, since her return she's started seeing demons lurking in the corners of every proper parlor. Her soul is off-limits to them, but they don't make for comfortable company.
Until incubus James Grieve strides naked onto a ballroom floor and asks her to dance. Miss Greening has nothing to lose, so she and her incubus are soon indulging in any number of passionate sins and pleasurable vices. Until James develops a most inconvenient soul of his own...
This volume contains both Olivia Waite's witty historical paranormal romances, now bundled together for the first time!
Olivia Waite writes erotic, historical, and paranormal romance -- sometimes all three at once. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with the love of her life and their mischievous miniature dachshund.
So this is a recommendation from the Fated Mates podcast (my new obsession). They did an episode on Novellas that had me reconsidering my general MEH regarding them.
This is a two part novella. The first one was MEH. Super short. The second had more substance and was more interesting to me.

My Thoughts....
'Damned If You Do'
What will happen when Idared [demoness] is to punish Lord Lambourne but soon learns of his 'mortal fiancee [Virginia Greening] is their to rescue him from Hell?'
Will Idared developed feelings for Lord Lambourne?
as the story continues...
'Hell and Hellion'
What happens as Virginia Greening is jilted by 'Lord Lambourne' that she had rescued from Hell? Does Lord Lambourne return to Idared?
So, what will Virginia Greening do as she gets 'pitied looks and backhanded whispers leaving her to feel left out.'
as the story moves on...
Who is this 'incubus James Grieve' that ask Ms Greening for a dance? What will happen when she accepts. Will one thing lead into another 'number of passionate sins and pleasurable vices for these two?.' What will happen when James 'develops a most inconvenient soul of his own?'
Who will James Grieve get help him from in order to put his situation into play with Ms. Greening?
Now to get all of these questions answered and so much more you will have to pick up "Happily Ever Afterlives.' Be ready a read of "seductive demons, determined mortals and lot of the best king of sin." I found this was a very well written read that will definitely keep you turning the pages to see what will be happening next. Yes, this is somewhat a erotica read too!
Thank you to the author for a interesting good read where the reader will get a good fantasy story about 'Hell.'
Paranormal historical romance?! Sign me up! I enjoyed the first story about a rake-ish Lord that died in battle falling for his demoness torturer in Hell. However, I really really liked the second story about the same Lord's ex-fiancee falling for an incubus. I don't want to spoil anything but I just really love how both Virginia and James group into their love. The ending is heart-warming.
Composed of two stories, both of them with lots of explicit sex that’s fairly easy to skip if that’s your fancy to follow the story instead. I liked the second story in particular, because feminist and a recognition of introverts vs extroverts needs. Plus it was fun.
