It's good to be back with the toughest and gayest group of crime fighters around! The third book in the THIRDS series was intense, emotional, and delivered on the heat. Charlie Cochet is on fire with this series!

Break out the wine, folks, this book is going to be a 3-glasser.

For once, the drama is less between Dex and Sloane and more between all of the other potential couples. Be prepared for some brooding and a lot of sexual tension. Yes, I'm talking about my beloved Cael and his grumpy love i

These cats.... freaking adorable.

Is it weird that I like when Sloane rubs, licks and purrs at Dex??

I keep thinking I will get tired of reading about the same couple. I never read continuous books about the same couple. Why you ask? Because usually it means...

But that's not the case here....this series is almost like standalones in a way. Yes, Dex and Sloane progress as a couple along the way, a mostly mature way (Dex is rarely mature). And yes, the plot kind of co

I think this might truly be a case of it's not you it's me.

Because I found this plot and story line to be kind of convoluted, frustrating, and ridiculous to be honest.

Just kidding.

It was totally this book.

This story was like a kangaroo on a pogo stick.

AKA: All over the fucking place.

It kept jumping from Dex/Sloane's relationship, to Ash/Cael, to Sloane/Ash's childhood, to the convuluted mess of a story line with the Coalition and the Order.

This was great! I missed Dex and Sloane. I was so happy when this came out yesterday.

I love Dex.

“We had sex in your bathroom during my party!”
Sloane gaped at Dex who clamped his hands over his mouth, as if doing so might miraculously take back what he’d just blurted out. “What. The. Fuck! You had sex in my bathroom?” Ash went from flabbergasted to disgust in point five seconds.
“Oh my God. Please tell me you didn’t jizz on my towels.” Dex held a hand up in pro

OK....where do I begin?

First, I would like to apologize to the next book that I'm going to read. Why, you ask? It's because it will more than likely go down like this:

I start reading, and then, after about a page I think, 'I wonder what Dex and Sloane are doing?'. I chastise myself because I've moved on to a new book. Several words later, 'do you think Dex just made an 80's reference and Sloane rolled his eyes?'. OK...once again, I get back on track only to think 'do you think they're having sex

Hello all! I've had quite a few folks ask me about the Rack & Ruin Audiobook. I dropped an email to the publisher, so I thought I'd post the reply here for folks who were wondering. Due to the narrator's busy schedule, we're looking at a March/April release date.

I have my fingers crossed for March. <3 I think Mark Westfield is doing a fab job and can't wait to see how he tackles Rack & Ruin! :D

I was reluctant to start this series at first. Don't ask me why, I'm not even sure myself. But I knew others loved it so much, so I decided to give it a chance thanks to some really awesome reviews of the first book. And I'm so glad I did because I got to meet one of my favorite book characters ever.

Dex. I don't know if I can actually describe why I love him as much as I do. He's one of those characters I didn't need time to love, it just sort of happened. He's definitely my favorite in this ser

The third book in the series still centers around the Defense Agent (used to be a homicide detective; the Human Police Force) Dexter ‘Dex’ ‘Rookie’ Justice Daley (33) and his Team Leader Sloane Brodie (37), who's also his jaguar Therian partner and lover. After the death of the leader of The Order, The Order is a struggling, but that doesn't mean they've given up. Then there's The Coalition who is out for blood against The Order, not caring if innocent lives

This book, or rather series, reads as a good TV Show, where each book is like an episode. So when you're reading you can just sit back and let the THIRDS take you along for the story.

Dex and Sloane's relationships continue to develop, but the rest of the bunch are hitting some bumps in the road. Ash pretty much was an asshole in this. Okay, so he was one before, but here it's much more "in your face". It gets explained, but... *sigh* He really was an ass. I feel with Cae

Destructive Delta rounds up members of the Order and the Coalition case hits Threat Level Red. The THIRDS have a mole in their organization that's feeding Coalition information and it's up to the team to reveal the traitor.

Dex and Sloane are more of an established couple now. They finally talk about what's wrong or what's bothering them. And even though Sloane has a tendency to run away from Dex when something relationship related scares him, he keeps coming back.

There's a lot of drama between t

Rack & Ruin was one hell of a ride!

If this book were a 'Friends' episode, the first half would be entitled 'The One Where They Screw Like Bunnies'. They being Dex & Sloane, of course. That is in no way a complaint on my side. Au contraire. The second half would be called 'The One Where Shit Hits The Fan'. Everything, and I mean every possible thing, blows up–relationships get tested, patience runs low, and a lot of things h
Things are heating up in this one. The team is under fire but also imploding within with all the relationships developing and crashing. The traitor is revealed (I guess I'm not good at figuring stuff like that out because while it crossed my mind who it was, I thought, nah...can't be them).

I still love Dex and Sloane is growing on me. I'm sick of Gabe honestly but I'm seeing it be less and less of an issue. The author has done a good job at little subtle things that show Dex is definitely differ

It took me almost three books but I'm totally on board with this (now) epic relationship between Sloane and Dex. I loved the developments in this book regarding the growth in their relationship. I've always loved Dex - who wouldn't!?! The guy's a fucking legend! - but it's taken me a little longer to warm to Sloane. I'm grateful for all the insights in this story surrounding Sloane's (and Ash's) history; I finally feel like I understand them and can relate a bit more to their attitudes

4,5 stars.

Charlie Cochet did it again!

With Rack & Ruin she created the next chapter of an outstanding intense story with action packed scenes and wonderful heartwarming moments, I just couldn’t stop smiling while reading. Her story development is impressive and her pacing brilliant done, her writing excellent, and her characters… *swoon*… I just love them all to bits. :)

Reading the next adventure of Dex, Sloane and the Destructive Delta gang was exciting and comforting, it felt like coming

Belens Audio Book Review

I absolutely love and adore Mark Westfield's narration of this series! To me, it's Westfield's narration that makes this series shine.

Things I enjoyed about the book:

1. Getting to see the progression of the Sloane and Dex's relationship. Finally getting to see Sloane remove his head from his ass and recognize what he has in Dex was awesome.

2. The humor. Once again, it was the humor, and in many cases with this particular story, it was only the humor that kept me from throwing my Kindle out the w

Charlie Cochet must have had a ball writing this one. And she is poking fun at the drama unfolding at Destruction Delta at one point...

Jesus Christ, MTV would make a mint with a reality TV show about their unit.

And that’s exactly what it is like!
Calvin and Hobbs clearly have issues, while Cael and Ash frustrate the hell out of me. They’re clearly mad about each other, but Ash simply can’t move forward. I sincerely hope we will find out why soon.

Most emphasis is of course on Dex and Sloane. They
What you need to know about this book?

It will make you want to bribe Charlie Cochet with all of the things to get book 4 and more importantly book 5!!

Dex and Sloane are awesome. I have loved them both equally in the past but I think Dex is starting to push out in front. He is ridiculous and over the top but he is also sweet and kind and I just absolutely love him!!

But as mush as I love Dex and Sloane, Ash and Cael stole the show here. Their book is book 5. Book 5 is scheduled for release in Jul

Holy freaking cliff hanger. WTF?

This series is totally awesome.

I love all these boys and want more about each of them.

Oh, and I want it NOW!!

Shit, fuck, damn, FUCK!

Right off the top I will say I loved this! I love Dex and Sloane! What i am still missing in this series is shifter action, I want more!! And the end was excitement and an "OH NO!"

Now the wait! :D

What a damn ending. The ending blew my ass away. Let me tell ya'll I've been Team Sloane for two books now. I like Dex, not in love with him, but this book I was all finger wagging in Sloane's face like Dex, this and Dex that. Dex was amazing in the book. Damn him for making me tear up for him, he was a wonderful brother, friend and boyfriend. Though everyone doesn't seem to appreciate him. Gosh, these Therians had serious attitudes. I mean everyone was short with him, Calvin, Cael, Ash
Things are looking up! The series is getting better with each installment so is the melodrama and cheese factor

That ending.

And now I have to wait till February for the next one?? I might go crazy in the meantime.

Book 3 of the THIRDS series picks up a few months after where Blood & Thunder ended. The Coalition and the Order are in an all-out war in the streets of New York. The THIRDS are scrambling to contain the violence, all while a mole within the organization is feeding information to the Coalition. And Dex and Sloane are navigating the waters of their undercover relationship.

So, needless to say,
