Man of My Heart
Jasmine Grey is an up and coming country rock star, just completing a successful tour opening for a top country rock group. If only her bass player, Cobra, would leave her alone. When he attacks her the last night of the tour she is so shaken she retreats from everything and buys a home in the Texas Hill Country. She is still spooked, however, by memories of Cobra and his vows of vengeance. Her cousin, Libby McCoy, Aron’s wife, insists she needs protection. Enter Caleb Branam, former Delta Force now an agent for The Omega Team.
Caleb took himself off the active roster after a hostage rescue went wrong and members of his team were killed, but Aron manages to persuade him to take on the job of Jasmine’s bodyguard. As the days go by and she is writing music for her new album, the attraction between them grows more and more intense. When she returns to the road and Cobra begins his campaign of harassment, it will be up to Caleb to stop it for good and for both of them to realize what they feel for each other is the real deal. But will they be able to?

Man of My Heart by Desiree Holt is a fairly short read, but don't let the size of the book fool you. This quick read is amazing! Ms Holt has given us a well-written book. Her characters are lovable and perfect for this tale. Jasmine and Caleb's story is packed with drama, suspense, action, humor and sizzle. I loved reading Man of My Heart and look forward to reading more awesome books by Desiree Holt in the future. Man of My Heart is book 5 of the Omega Team Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Desiree Holt writes amazing romance stories filled with great characters good storylines and plenty of heat. You can always count on her to deliver a book you will read in one sitting.

I loved this book. It was one of those you wish was longer. The characters were well written and the storyline keeps you turning the pages.

Jasmine has earned her newfound fame and she's enjoying it. She's on tour with Sweet Dixie, which is "the band" right now, and her manager is none other than Carson, who also manages Sweet Dixie and is one of the hottest managers in the business. However, as with everything, life isn't perfect because she's continually being confronted with someone that won't take no for an answer, someone that should've been trustworthy. He's gone from annoying, to very persistent, and has escalated to dangerous. No one thought he'd go so far as to attack her, but thankfully, Jasmine is saved before he follows through on his threat.
Now three weeks later, she's still understandably shaken and struggling with not only what happened, but also what could have. As she's trying to move forward with her life and career, while spending time in her new home visiting with her cousin, Libby, she learns that the danger may not be over as her attacker was able to make bail and then went off the grid.
Caleb, a friend of Aron's, Libby's husband, is struggling himself due to injuries he suffered while on the job with The Omega Team, an assignment that also resulted in two of his team members losing their life. Due to the guilt he felt, he resigned from his job and retreated to a cabin in the hills, living in a self-imposed exile. *He cant people. :-(* Aron and Libby know Jasmine needs protection until the guy is caught. Aron believes Caleb can keep her safe and he also knows Caleb is struggling with his own demons. So he suggests the idea to not only Caleb, but also to Carson. Caleb, while resistant, can't explain how he's suddenly on his way to start his new assignment, one he didn't think he wanted, one that will change his life forever.
As Jasmine works on her new album, and prepares for an upcoming tour, she and Caleb will be spending a lot of time with each other and both are determined not to let their attraction to each other interfere. *Silly people. We all know they won't be able to keep their hands, mouth, etc. off each other.*
Will Caleb and Jasmine continue denying their attraction and growing feelings for each other? Or will they both realize there's something special building between the two of them and take a chance? Can Caleb keep Jasmine safe? What will the fans think of Jasmine's new album? Will the tour launch her into another level of stardom? Will her attacker strike again? The Hell Yeah series is one of my favorites so when I hear other authors were writing stories around this, I jumped and bought each book involved. This is Caleb and Jasmine's story. She is an up and coming country star and needs protection after her bass player attacks her. He escapes but Aron McCoy gets his friend Caleb to be her bodyguard for a time. Caleb is an ex soldier who blames himself for the death of two of his team when a mission goes wrong. He agrees to help Jasmine out and little by little they fall in love. Still believing he is no good for her, he plans to leave her when the ex bass player is finally caught but of course, she isn't about to let that happen. It was so nice to get caught up with Aron and Libby but this book was all about Caleb and Jasmine. I loved it and now, on to the next book!!!

More Omega Team men by Ms. Holt. In this one, a cousin of Libby McCoy's has become a hot new country star. One of her backup band, however, has a problem keeping his hands off Jasmine. When he is sent packing after an attack, Aron suggests that his friend Caleb might be the solution to Jas' problem.
She is reluctant to have a bodyguard, and Caleb, haunted by a past protection case gone bad, has become a recluse. He wants nothing to do with rejoining the human race until Aron talks him into it. He and Jasmine get along well - too well in his opinion. He thinks he may lose focus. Meanwhile Jas has blossomed into a star and her new music is inspired.
Nice story, even allowing for the inevitable violent incident that almost drives Caleb away.

The Hell Yeah Series books are a favorite of mine. They are fantastic books and when I found out there was to be a Hell Yeah Kindle World I was thrilled. This is the first book I have read in the HYKW. I am a Desiree Holt fan on her own but when she brings in some of my favorite characters from the Sable Hunter books, I was thrilled. This book is well written and it is a quick easy read. I encourage everyone to get this book it is worth your time and effort. Sable Hunter has brought together some fantastic authors and this is the first of many!!!! Get it your going to love it..... a hero comes to the rescue of a girl in trouble......

Desiree Holt once again delivers a sexy story in the music world and her Omega Team series. There's nothing better than a strong, yet broken hero, come out of hiding and finding love. Caleb is asked to protect Jasmine after she is attacked by a band member and sparks fly when they meet. I loved these two together and the author sure knows how to write steamy sex scenes that scorch the pages. I loved how protective Caleb was of her and how she saw the real man behind the physical and emotional scars. Jasmine proved to Caleb that he was the man of her heart in such a romantic way. I loved this story and looking forward to reading more in her Omega Team series.

Country music star and ex-seal-bodyguard=healing
Wow Desiree hit it out the park with this book. Its a fast paced read filled with chemistry and suspense and healing for both. Jasmine is attacked by her band mate and they hire Caleb as her personal bodyguard but he is still dealing with his last mission that left 2 of his men dead and him scarred from a fire and broken leg and has been hiding from everyone and trying to cope with it but when he takes this job can he protect her from a stalker and his heart from falling in love with her or will he push her away to protect her from himself? This is absolutely fantastic book and I fell in love with both of them.

What a great edition to the Omega Team and the McCoy's of Hell Yeah!
As a fan of both series I thoroughly enjoyed this story of a rising country singing sensation and her unexpected attraction to the man sent to protect her from an over amorous admirer.
A captivating storyline with great characters who complimented each other perfectly, made this a fast, heart-warming and engaging read.

I love the Lone Star Burn series from Ruth Cardello, and I love. Holtz series and writing style. Put these two pluses and you have a great novella that is entertaining and is steamy HOT which is just the way I like Romance books.
I recommend this wonderful Kindle World and believe that you will too.

Caleb is a former soldier who thinks he's got nothing to give, Jasmine is a country/rock star whose starting to shine. When they get together they burn up the sheets while trying to keep her stalker at bay. This is an amazing read.

This was a great little novella, I really enjoyed Jasmine and Caleb's story, A country singer about to hit the big time, has a stalker, an ex special forces soldier struggling with his past, they make a great couple.

4 stars. A short novella but not short on characterisation or plot. Caleb a member of the Omega team is recovering from a mission gone wrong when asked to be a bodyguard for an upcoming country rock star. Jasmine is as rising music star who needs protection after an attack. The sexual chemistry sizzles between the two from their first meeting. This was an enjoyable read with likeable characters and plenty of sizzle. Recommended.
