Although this edition is a few years out of date, the author gives a good overall picture of how the application process for each of the creative arts is different from the other. As someone who got a BA in Fine Arts from a University 20+ years ago, I read through the visual artists section and most of it still rang true. But for my son, who's interested in music, I really had no idea what kind of schools were out there. This book is a great overview.
This seems like a pretty good guide. I only read the section on creative writing programs. I may change my rating once my kid actually starts looking at schools and can be a better judge, but it included programs that I had not heard of and the type of information that I'm looking to have distilled in one reference.
