Well I didn't think I would ever finish this book. It went on forever it seemed. Don't get me wrong though I did enjoy reading it. I seriously hoped that Gina and Fallon would have finally ended up together. Gina so deserved to be with someone that would look after her it was so frustrating for me when she kept letting Fallon take off and she wouldn't voice her concerns with him about it. Then when she finally ends up marrying someone the book ends. I felt that we were led through every detail of Gina's life and then when finally she may have been happy (yes I know it was an arranged marriage) the book finished. I would have liked to at least read more as to how she felt in the marriage and whether they actually came together in happiness. I did like the fact that they were reunited cause I did like when Howard was persuing Gina when she worked at the hotel. It just would have been nice to read a bit about Gina and Howards life together.

Rags-to-riches saga of love, ambition and revenge. From Mussolini's Rome to war-torn London to the birth of Las Vegas, Gina Rossi builds a business empire. Some sections are heavy on detail but that adds to the authenticity. This was a big best-seller back in the late 1980s with 'She' magazine rating it 'irresistible'. Great if you like a long read.
The ending of this book came far too late. A big fat heavy piece of fiction it started to get ridiculous towards the end and IMHO could and should have ended neatly quite a bit before it did!
