The Horseless Rider is the first of its kind: a book directed to adults who do not own their own horses. Such riders need practical advice on how to select a good riding school, instructor, clothing and equipment and, most important of all, how to deal with the challenge of not always having the same horse to ride. Barbara Burn explains how to turn this seeming problem to advantage. In fact, non-owners can become better riders because they gain experience in riding a variety of horses. This is the perfect book for the occasional rider or the serious competitor who wants to show regularly but can't afford the caliber of horse required to compete.
I think it was a very good instructional book overall, and it also had alot of humerous anecdotes and descriptive words to make it more interesting. From one horseless rider to another its was a very nice book and I will be reading it again.
