Food for thought

Insightfully written in plain English, devoid of egoistical ranting, is s compelling personal awareness of the reality of the human consumption of industrialized animal and marine food obtained from the lives of our fellow beings on this fragile planet. I enjoyed reading about the authors personal journeys to veganism. I’m excited about the new recipes I have to try.
I have a problem with some of the statements in this book that I know to be factually incorrect. That being said-the authors never claim to be experts in medicine, nutrition or production agriculture; just in living their own lives.

This is the second book by John Merryfield that I've read and I'm so thankful that I have found his books. John has an amazing knack for communicating from his heart in a way that encourages and challenges readers. This book includes many stories and statistics that will challenge you to consider why veganism is a good ethical choice for both animals and our world. John's heart shines through on every page and he nudged me, once again, towards veganism. After reading this book as well as his oth ...more
