I picked this up at a library sale, on a whim. This book is basic, and a bit old, but I found it very helpful, and empowering.

However well-versed one may be in a field, it is important that he or she is capable or presenting the ideas effectively to others and at times to an audience.

The audience may be already experts in that field; or may be laymen; or a mixed variety. The presentation should be result-oriented, and lead the audience to the recommendations or / and objectives of the presentation.

This book is a very convenient vade mecum for professional presenters. Right from the basic principles governing the subject, it explains - though briefly - the topics of message preparation, establishing ideal relationship with the people concerned, dealing with challenges, managing a questions and answers session and so on.
