Alex Templeton is rural Ridgeland's very own walking-tall version of justice who's swung his hickory stick so long that he's callused not only the hand that once slid a ring on Savannah's -- he's callused his heart. Savannah wants her police officer hubby to respect her, but he continues to spray vile words her way and Savannah, believing God is ignoring her prayers to ...more

Rain No Evil by Michele Savaunah Zirkle Marcum contains a great juxtaposition of evil and goodness. Here the author writes about the fight to find the good even in harrowing times. Alex and Savannah Templeton are going through a difficult spot in their marriage, mainly due to infidelity. Savannah asks God for guidance, but receives an answer she may not be ready for. Rain No Evil is based on a true story, and the author uses the present tense narration and dialogue to pull the reader in and make ...more

Savannah has a unhappy marriage, both parties seem to have cheated in the past and for what it worth Savannah's go to response when her husband was being disrespectful was to go off an have sex with someone else.... I am not condoning Alex's behaviour towards her, but what Savannah did was equally as bad - she would dump her kids on her neighbour so she could hook up with a guy...I just don't understand her reasoning for doing what she did and the way she did it. What we had were two very broken ...more

I have to be honest; I struggled with this book. The opening of the story jumps right into a marriage on the rocks that has infidelity and mental, verbal, and emotional abuse. It was a long read and there was a lot of religious aspects.

With that off my chest; I will say, it was not a bad read. If you can push through that, you can find a good story.

The story follows Savannah and her family through a very troubled, very unhealthy marriage, and personal conflicts that tend to show themselves in

Paranormal events do exist as this novel based on the author's experiences will prove. It is the story of a woman who is unhappily married to a man she loves. It takes a whole lot of cheating on both their parts to recognize that she has to leave the marriage. As a matter of fact she didn't even realize that she was being abused--her husband never laid a hand on her--the abuse was verbal which can actually be a whole lot worse! Her husband was a police officer and I know a couple of women ...more

Do you believe in the paranormal? I do! I am a big believer in the super natural and demonic. I have never really read a book on this topic (besides the Bible), so it was nice to dive into one.

I enjoyed how raw and real the author was. You could truly feel and envision what was going on in her life at the time of the events. For me, personally, the scenes of her infidelity were a little too much.....but again, that's from a personal level. I'm not one to read "naughty" stories haha BUT it was

Rain No Evil is a powerful story of a struggle between good and evil, temptation and abstinence. I was genuinely impressed that this was a debut novel - the words flow so easily and the descriptions are vivid without being overpowering. You can feel the narrator's struggle within herself, and her desire to be a good and faithful wife and Christian woman, despite the demons that appear to be surrounding her. There is a strong religious element to this, so I would caution any readers who are ...more

This book is very twisty, with paranormal tones, mental abuse, and lots of sex. Initially I had a hard time getting into it, especially with the heavily religious overtones at the beginning, but once I got into the story I was hooked. A lot of the descriptions were more graphic than I would prefer, so I did struggle a bit.

It's truly amazing that this is based on a true story, and also a little terrifying. I hope you enjoy it also.

Savannah has been unhappy in her marriage for a long, long time. No matter how hard she tries, she can’t make her husband Alex show her any respect. She starts having rendezvous’ with other men, looking for the acceptance and love she misses so badly. This only makes her emptier with each encounter. She soon discovers this emptiness has opened a door for an evil force to attach to her.

I expected this story to lean more toward the paranormal, and it did, but what I wasn’t expecting was so much

Rain No Evil was a book given to me in exchange for an honest review. It is about a woman called Savannah, and she is married to a policeman who is well respected. Her husband has worked on a number of domestic violence cases and child abuse, and Savannah doesn’t know whether this is why her husband has changed towards her, and become verbally abusive.

She longs for the Alex Templeton she first met fourteen years prior, a man who used to look at her through eyes of love, rather than disgust.

Based on true events, Rain No Evil is quite a chilling tale of a families encounter with evil spirits invading their home and mind. I know for sure if I was experiencing the terror and psychological traumas the spirits were causing the family I would have been running for the hills, but they bravely stayed put to see it out to the bitter end.

The story has a humorous side but also brings a dark side to the family's plight and as unexplained events start to unfold you become embroiled in the

Sex sex and more sex

She was more messed up than the house. Who would write such a book knowing her boys and Dad were going to read it. What a school teacher. She has no self respect and craved constant attention from her husband. Yes she was mentally abused but she abused herself more than anyone did. The book was more about should she leave her husband and all about her poor self.
