Can u say WOW?

This is a must read, I loved this book. It's fascinating, intriguing, and oh so addictive. I couldn't put this book down once I started it, listening when I couldn't read. It completely drew me in right from the start. I'll tell you I'm definitely going to try my hardest to be better, nicer, less judgy, and put good thoughts out there in the world, with lots of love. We shouldn't need a book to remember this (I shouldn't). Love, love, and more love, and peace to everyone who reads

In The Ghosts of Gray Fable: Chapter One: SEER, high-schooler Grace Fable can see ghosts. Mostly they’re friendly, or if they’re not too interested in a chat, at least they’re interested in peaceful coexistence. But her dad’s ready to move in with his girlfriend Jennifer, so she’s transferring to a new high school, the site of a horrific school shooting almost five years ago. Naturally, these ghosts won’t be resting peacefully…

Almost immediately after starting at Willowbrook High, Gray meets Cha

‘A gun just broke the flesh, while words could reach thousands of minds at once.’

California author Eli Bloom writes young adult books from his home in Los Angeles where he ‘lives with his wife and three cats – one named Grace, of all things. He believes in ghosts.’ And that is all the biography available for this debut outing for Eli. We can sense his spirit and sense of humor but also his tangible interests in supernatural – ghosts in particular, if they are still considered paranormal after re

Grace Fable, “Gray” for family, has seen ghosts since she was six. Now, with fifteen-years-old, she and her dad move to his girlfriend’s house, which forces Grace to attend Willowbrook High School. This was the scene of a school shooting five-years ago and the place is still haunted by the ghosts of those who passed away on that day. It is Grace’s duty to find peace for the victims and their families at the same time as she struggles to stop another tragedy.

The first thing that drew me to this book was the haunting beautiful and scary cover. Being a fan of ghost stories, the prospect of meeting 15-year old Grace “Gray” Fable was one I couldn’t resist. The heroine has the unique gift is being able to speak to the dead. Moving with her father to live with his girlfriend, Grace enrolls at the Willowbrook High, the scene of a heinous crime. It is Grace’s job to help the victims of that school massacre find peace. Even though she has kept her gift secre ...more

I don’t tend to read the paranormal genre much, however the summary of this book sounded interesting. I’m happy to say this book did not disappoint. It’s a great book that really gets you thinking if you are into the paranormal and open minded to the idea of the spirits of those that moved on.

We have all heard of different mass shootings in schools unfortunately. I never really stopped to think about the victims. Do their souls move on? Are they stuck there forever? We also tend to forget the vic

SEER is a unique and captivating mystery book written by California author Eli Bloom. The story is based on a young 15 years old Grace Fable who has a supernatural ability to speak to the death. Interestingly, the dad is not aware, but when he moves in with his girlfriend Jennifer, she seems to have a better understanding of Grace’s ability. When Grace attends the new school – the notorious Willowbrook High School which had witnessed the mass shooting five years back, Grace has no way out but to ...more

SEER actually went above my expectations. The novel is set from the viewpoint of a teenager who can see ghosts, which is a pretty extraordinary thing in itself. I feel the author did a pretty good job of portraying a teens voice and mindset, especially one who has to deal with such a power at such a young age. The obvious loneliness shines through there, because teens especially find it hard to share who they are, unless there is a profound level of trust.
I think handling the school shooting in

SEER: The Ghosts of Gray Fable written by Eli Bloom was a well thought out novel. I loved how it paired mystery, humour, and the paranormal effortlessly. This story is about a girl named Grace (Gray) Fable, who from a very young age, is able to see and communicate with spirits (ghosts). The story is told from the point of view of Grace as a teenager. She embraces her gifts and uses them without fear. When her and her father move in with his new girlfriend, Grace is thrown into a new situation fu ...more

For a book that’s targeted at young adults, SEER has some surprisingly dark moments but those do work well in the story as a whole and also make readers think honestly about much of the evil and the violence that is so prevalent in our modern world. The writing style throughout the book is easy to read and I found myself pulled into the story of Grace (Gray) right from the beginning. I particularly loved the way that she was a little unusual and didn’t have all of the answers about her own abili ...more
