This was a pretty good children's story book. The colors pop out on the page and it is very well illustrated. I believe the children will like the idea that it focuses on animals. It can also be a book encouraging children to help those in need around them just like Doctor Hopper did in the story. It also has some humor in it which younger children will find interesting, like at the end when Doctor Hopper gets all bandaged up by the monkeys. Overall children would enjoy reading this book. It's an easy read and is mostly pictures, so it will most likely keep their attention as well.
Little Miss says: I like at the end, when they put him all in bandages like he's a mummy. I like the dog that was born from the mama pig. I like when people shout "Help!" I like when the doctor puts the battery in backwards.
I thought it was a little silly, but Little Miss loved it.
Sooo.... not really sure how this ended up in my stack of holds at the library. Had my name and library card number on it, so I obviously asked for it. It's a kid's book, so it took about 5m to read.
