Ruth Glick (born 1942) is a best-selling author of healthy cookbooks and has also written dozens of romantic suspense romance novels under the pen name Rebecca York.

Ruth earned a B.A. in American Thought and Civilization from George Washington University and an M.A. in American Studies from the University of Maryland. Although she always wanted to become a writer, Glick was convinced that her lack of spelling skills meant that her goal was unattainable. As a stay-at-home mother, she took a community college course to help her choose a career. The course made it very clear that writing was her primary interest. Glick began writing articles for newspapers and magazines, but after several years decided to try writing fiction. Her first book, a kids' science fiction book, was finally purchased by Scholastic Inc..

Since then, Glick has become a highly successful author of over 50 romantic suspense and paranormal novels. Many of her novels are published under the Harlequin Intrigue line, and in June 2003, she became one of the first authors published under Berkley's new Sensation imprint. Before 1997, she often collaborated with Eileen Buckholtz and Kathryn Jenson.

Glick also is a highly regarded author of cookbooks focusing on healthy eating. She sometimes hires trained chefs to test the recipes that she creates, and makes sure that every recipe is tested at least three times before it appears in one of her cookbooks.

Glick is the head of the Columbia Writers Workshop. She and her husband, Norman Glick, live in Columbia, Maryland, where Ruth collects rocks, and enjoys cooking, walking, reading, gardening, travel, and Mozart operas. They have two grown children, Elissa and Ethan, and two grandsons (Jesse and Leo).

Another great read by Rebecca York! I love the world of Decorah Security and the paranormal elements woven into each story create great twists and turns.

Jenny has been focusing on learning the skills to protect herself. She knows that even though she has escaped a bad situation, it’s only a matter of time before the people she was running from catch up with her. Grant has been trying to get Jenny to open up to him so he can help her. And even though there is a sizzling attraction between these two, Jenny refuses to give in since she knows that she will only bring trouble to anyone she gets close to.

This was a quick read that had a bit of everything – action, suspense, mystery, romance, and of course appearances by some of the other Decorah Security agents. After reading Rx Missing, which featured Grant’s twin Mack, I was more than ready for Grant’s story…and loved that Mack and Lily from Rx Missing are also involved in this one and we get to see what has happened to the project that Lily was working on. It’s tough to go into more detail without giving away any spoilers, so I’ll just say that I loved how the paranormal aspects were woven into this story – it really allowed for some great plot twists!

Although this is part of a series, this can be read as standalone, as can all the other books in this series. This is a definite must read for anyone who likes an action filled romantic suspense with or even without a touch of paranormal.

I received a copy of this book from the author/tour host for an honest review.

I'll admit, straight up, this isn't my usual kind of book. Usually, if the heroine isn't getting tied up and spanked, I'm kinda meh on the whole thing. Don't get me wrong though, I do have to have a decent story, and if there is suspense thrown in, so much the better.

This book was so good I couldn't put it down, not for a minute. (okay, bathroom breaks aside.) It had me hooked right from the beginning from when Jenny Seaver who called herself Jenny Seville, was on the run. It didn't much dawn on me that this was a very special type of world until I realized Jenny wasn't actually cavorting around in a hotel. This was my first book of the series.
The very best part being that I can now read the other 13 books, because after reading the descriptions, I'm definitely picking up this series!

I did wonder at when both Jenny and Grant were going to stop lying to each other, because there was a whole lot of that going on between the two of them. But Jenny felt she had no choice, she was trying to protect everyone. Grant was doing his job, but he was also trying to get her to talk.

You'll have to grab your self a copy of this book, because it's easy to see why it's such a long running, popular series.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Jenny, previously rescued from an illegal experiment on patients with head trauma, is finally feeling more secure in herself. She has kept her mind in a VR world whilst she recovers in real life. But she knows that danger still haunts her. The man responsible for her trauma in the first place will search for her to the ends of the world.

Grant is the twin of Mack, who had also been used in the same experiment. Thankfully their telepathic abilities have remained intact. Decorah has taken over the running of the VR experiment and now house the patients until they are able to wake or until suitable medical establishments can be found. He met Jenny in the VR world and they have formed a bond but she still won't confide in him what she is running from.

When she wakes up in the real world and tries to hide, the bad guys come calling and her new friends are now in danger! Will she be able to finally rid herself of her stalker/kidnapper or will she end up in his clutches once more???

This series continues to enthral me! With blends of Paranormal, superhuman and good old romantic suspense its a surefire winner. The characters engage your mind and heart and you easily get caught up in the world. Now having to wait patiently for the next!!

Mystery, security team with a little PRN thrown in, some really bad guys, romance, this book has it all. Ms. York keeps the secrets well hidden. You know something is going on, but not exactly what or who. This one is the proverbial page-turner.

Jenny is in trouble. Grant, an agent with the Decorah security agency, wants to help her for more than one reason. She doesn't trust him, but she does care for him and wants him. Can they have a relationship without trust? She has her reasons. She also knows he is not completely honest with her. But then—their relationship isn't your everyday girl meets boy. Their meeting is unique and one you need to read about to understand. They have a connection that can only mean love if they give in and admit it. Of course, first they have to stay alive and there are dangerous people out to prevent that.

This is a stand-alone from the Decorah Security Series and is easily read without the others. However, I plan to read more of these fascinating characters. Ms. York does a great job explaining the other characters and their connection without giving more information than necessary.

This is part of a big series, but easily read as a stand alone.
Jenny Seaver is living in virtual reality. She is training hard in self defence because when she leaves people around her will be in grave danger.
Grant Bradley works at Decorah Security along with his twin brother and his wife, who is the doctor in charge of the comatose patients in the facility. He will need to use all his connections to solve the problems Jenny will cause.
An unusual and exciting romantic suspense. The idea behind the facility is marvellous, and would be wonderful if it could be done. Who knows, maybe one day. The extra talents of our characters make this a fascinating, sexy and intriguing story. I loved it.

I received this book free for an honest review and I absolutely loved it. I’ve never read something quite like this before and it had me guessing on what would happen next. I loved the characters in this story they just seemed so real to me. This book had me guessing until the very end on what was going to happen next and I absolutely loved it when my guess turned out to be correct. It even had some paranormal elements within certain parts of the story. I would highly recommend to anyone that would like a great book with a great storyline that continually had you guessing on what was going to happen next to pick up this book and read it.

Without Trust You Can't Have Love

York brings back many of the characters from earlier stories to help save Jenny. She cannot let herself trust in their ability to survive the dangers that are stalking her. The action is fast and filled with intrigue. If you've enjoyed other adventures of DEcorah Security, you'll enjoy this one.

The relationship between Grant and Jenny has already started by the start of the book. So we get to jump right in, and boy it starts out steamy. Once Jenny wakes up she needs to decide whether to trust or run. Things heat up quickly both action and between the two of them.

Not your average paranormal or suspense novel. My only complaint is it could have been longer. But it will keep you going to the next chapter regardless of what you should be doing. It is hard to review without spoiling it. If you are looking for something out of the box, give this one a read.
