Den Inderste Fare ('The innermost danger') is a novel about Erik Scavenius - a politician who was a prominent figure in the Danish government during WW2. Because of his 'politics of cooperation' with the German occupying forces, Scavenius is a controversial historical figure.

This book could have been a fascinating glimpse into the political landscape during the most trying time in modern Danish history. Unfortunately the majority of the book is about the sexual life of Scavenius, which is neith

Udgangspunktet for romanen.
