Wow did Cold Secrets take me on a dark ride or what??? This book jumped straight into dark no wine and dine. However I wouldn't call this book a dark read per se, just dealt with a dark theme. The opener has Lucas, an undercover FBI Agent, entering a sex slave house asking for a young girl. Toni Anderson must have done her research, the sex trafficking plot was very detailed and felt realistic. To know this kind of stuff happens in the real worl

This book definitely started off with a bang! No lead up, no playing around. The author dumps us right into the middle of the plot and doesn't hold back any punches.

COLD SECRETS was an intense, suspenseful romantic story. Lucas and Ashley were FBI agents on a task force to take down a human trafficking ring in Boston. In the midst of their investigation, they can't fight the undeniable attraction that sparks between them.

I enjoyed the many elements that were explored to detail everything about

FBI Agent Ashley Chen has a secret and it’s a big one. This secret is why she leads a solitary life and keeps her colleagues at arms-length. Her latest assignment takes her to Boston to assist in the investigation of a sex slavery/human trafficking ring. This puts everything Ashley is protecting on the line. Further complicating the matter is this hard-to-resist agent, Lucas Randall. Lucas is a straight arrow who has to make some tough decisions during the course of this case that make
The seventh book in the Cold Secrets series by Toni Anderson. FBI Agent Lucas Randall goes undercover to find an eight year old kidnapped girl that leads him to a brothel, only to have everything go wrong, costing the lives of many when a bomb explodes and barely escapes with his own. Ashley Chen is a computer expert for the FBI but many distrust her due to her Asian blood. (Asians were involved in the sex trafficking). Ashley does have secrets, though.

Another great read by Ms. Anderson. Due to

I am not a fan of books with human trafficking and sexual slavery. I don't like them - not al all. I go out of my way to avoid them. So, why did I not only read this book but spend my hard earned money? I really love Toni Anderson. She writes a well researched, intelligent Romantic-Suspense with smart, hot characters and this one does not disappoint. This is a great book, but is was tough to like Ashley in the beginning.

This is one of the best RS series I read. The books are consistently entertaining and well written. I wasn't too crazy about the instalust and we-can't-be-together-because-we-work-together trope in the beginning; but that fortunately passed quickly and we got into the meat of the story. The child sex trade plotline was definitely unpleasant, but well done. Ashley also had a pretty painful secret past that added also added tension to the plot.

Great FBI romantic suspense series.
It has been a while since the last Cold Justice book, but I’m glad this one came just as the year began.

It’s best to say right out that I’ve always admired Toni Anderson’s writing. Her stories are always credible, well-plotted, well-written and so realistic as they deal with issues that we face today—thrown in with a very hot dose of romance and steamy times. I’ve more or less liked her protagonists as well (some of them clearly more than others) in the Cold Justice series, but ‘Cold Secrets’ i

3 stars is the best I can to. Good and bad storyline..

I loved the beginning of this book. It was thoroughly exciting from Lucas entering the brothel to the explosion that killed so many. Though I didn’t feel the least bit sorry that the madam was killed, but I was glad he saved the two young girls.

Also, I just finished a book about two pedophiles just before this one then opened this to see it was the same kind of story, only a little worse. This one is about human trafficking involving kids AN

Cold Secrets brings us back to the dark side of justice and how sometimes lines have to be crossed to make sure the evil is put where it belongs.

The evil this time around is sex traffickers of children. The author opens the story with quite a bang with undercover FBI Agent Lucas Randall going into a brothel to rescue a 8 year old who had recently been kidnapped. This group of traffickers are ruthless and dont care who they kill to keep from being caught. I am still cringing at the ages of the g
My second read, and still a hot 5 stars!
If you want to be knee deep in intrigue, suspense, romance, smoking hot FBI agents and international sex traffickers, you will not be disappointed with this book. This is a meaty, gutsy, grizzly read, get me? There could be triggers for some people, there are kids involved in the trafficking ring.

Toni has done it again and delivered an action packed, intense story that just makes you want to keep reading way after bedtime! There is conflict between the le
The 7th book in the Cold Justice series brings to readers a story that drives home the point that Toni Anderson is an author who delivers on all fronts where the romantic suspense genre is concerned. Every single book in this delectable series has been a hit for me, the subject matter that Ms. Anderson takes on in each of the stories being ones that are often difficult to write about with a measure of objectivity and impartiality. In Cold Secrets, Ms. Anderson delves into the world of sex traffi ...more

While the subject matter was difficult to read about (and a real ongoing horrific situation), the mystery and characters were really great.

Anytime Toni Anderson comes out with a new book, my anticipation hits the stratosphere. Her books are so engaging, so provocative and clever, they are a delight for readers who like to have not only their emotions, but their intellect challenged. Cold Secrets meets all those criteria.

Toni is exceptionally thorough with her plot planning and research. Her almost casual introduction of the various law enforcement branches, their area of responsibility, and the different methods of operation, is am

Cold Secrets is my new favorite. The author, Toni Anderson has really outdone this story. From the sex trade to the Chinese tong connection, FBI Special Agent Ashley Chen, a computer expert has joined the FBI to fight the world evils and at the same time tried to stay one step ahead of keeping her past at bay and from her colleagues from finding her secret past.

Really good read, fast paced, and thrilling!

Ms. Anderson has certainly done her research on human trafficking and pedophilia (as sick as that seems/is). Well written and hard to put down. No spoilers here, read the book, for that matter read the series!

5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Gritty. Emotional. Steamy. Sexy. Romantic. Hopeful. Horrifying. Intense. From the action-packed first chapter to a very satisfying conclusion, Cold Secrets was one heck of a ride….

FBI Agent Lucas Randall is undercover trying to rescue a young girl from a suspected sex-trafficking ring. When things literally blow up on him, a task force is formed, including BAU-4 Agents Mallory Rooney and Ashley Chen. Agent Chen, like Agent Randall, has made appearances in prior books in this series. But unlike t

Sex trafficking was something I would avoid to read at all times but after reading several reviews, I got the book and despite some gruesome details, I enjoyed the book and happy the perpetrators got their hellfire ever after. There's nothing much to say about the hero, Lucas. He was a great guy from page one to the last but the heroine, Ashley... Wow, just wow. The author did a fantastic job writing her, from the blurb itself you'll guessed that she was hiding something but when the truths were ...more
Stories about harm to women, children, animals and child trafficking are horrifically, disgustingly, strong NO's for me. And there was just way too much NO here for me. Too much sicko gritty detail that I just didn't care to read. Wasn't a fan of the romantic relationship either. Won't give away anything else but just didn't find it believable. Skimmed a lot of this one.

I'm sure this is lightweight as far as most readers are concerned. Just not my thing.

Another super read from Toni and a great addition to the series. I have read and loved this entire series and this book did not disappoint. While I have loved this book it does contain human trafficking and sexual slavery so it may not be for everyone but if you have read and enjoyed the previous books you will want to read this to. i just loved it and can't wait for the next book

I am a fan of this series and love watching the character development with each book.

As usual, there were a few unanticipated twists and turns in this book, but it only made it better.

I enjoyed watching the FBI go after the Dragon Devils.

I think I'd have to say 3.5 stars for me because it seemed to wax and wane for me and the romance side of the suspense didn't hold me at all.

The suspense was quite a good read though.
