Texas Justice is just what it said a story full of revenge, guilt, sorrow, death, and innocents all looking for justice for one reason or another. When a sexy lawman said “Spread’em” What do you do? You give him a little sass to make it interesting which really starts this book off with a bang. As is the normal for Ms. D’Alba she gets your attention, grabbing it with a page turner that keeps your eyes glue to the pages. There is a little mystery over Tess’s past and what that has to do with the ...more

After reading Hot SEAL, Cold Beer and seeing the connection to Diamond Lakes, I had to go back and read this one. It was originally part of the Cowboy Justice Anthology. I really loved this book, it got me riled up in more ways than one!

Sheriff Kyle Monroe and Dr. Tess Sweeny are a couple, problem is no one knows. She has insisted on that since Kyle's had been her patient and his twin brother Troy is Chief of Staff at the hospital. Troy doesn't like her very much, not personally or professionall
Dr. Tess Sweeney and Sheriff Kyle Monroe's blooming romance is interrupted when Tess' ex-lover the widely reviled DA brought baggage from their bitter breakup and hone in on Tess when his son dies during surgery after a traffic incident. Tess tries to break things off with Kyle so his personal life and career won't be tainted by the vindictive fallout, but Kyle's having none of it.

For my taste, the strong emotional characters started this fast paced outing claiming immediate investment in themse

As always, Cynthia D'Alba keeps you glued to your seat, turning page after page. You can't wait to get to the end but then you are sorry it's over. I highly recommend any of her books. Kyle and Tess, in this story, have their work cut out for them. A child dies in surgery in which Tess is getting blamed for. The baby's father, Preston Lloyd, is Tess's old flame and he's out for revenge while trying to keep his own name out of the mud. Kyle, the town's sheriff is doing all he can to prove Tess is ...more

I enjoyed this book. The problems were believable but not hackneyed. The main characters were well developed. It is a short book, so the minor characters were less well developed but they did not do anything which conflicted with the personality developed.
I came to care about Tess and Kyle and their friends and family. I mentally cheered when they overcome the obstacles thrown in their path. In this election year, I appreciated seeing the lawyer who played dirty politics get his comeuppance.

Felt like the story started in the middle and way too much medical jargon.

Born and raised in Arkansas. After wandering the world for 17 years (okay, it was Memphis, but it felt like another world!), I've made it home again. I live in a small vine covered cottage on the shores of a 8,000 acre lake with 2 dogs, a bitchy parrot and my fisherman husband. Live is good.
