Why this book?

Time travel books interest me

What I thought

This is a hard book to review, I have major mixed feelings. The time travel aspect was interesting, but her and Will meeting up in different times confused me. As for the story it was a bit slow and never quite gained momentum. One of the biggest problems was the execution. With that said what I did like was the characters sure Abbi got on my nerves sometimes, but I loved Wil

I received this E-ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

When I got this book I found that I had lost interest in this book. I'm also tired of relatives of the many characters sending them on some dumb task.

It's up to you to read or not read this book.

2.5/3 stars. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this time travel centric story. There were certainly moments where I debated that it was going to be a DNF. The premise is clearly stated in the book description so I won't regurgitate it here.

I really liked the author's note which details how the author's own personal history sparked her interest in placing it in her next novel. Everything else-the constant time travel in almost every chapter for the first half of the text and the so-so romanc

Abbi aka Abigail is about to start her first year at College. The same college that her Grandmother and Great-Grandmother attended, growing up she had always heard amazing stories about the college campus. The thing though is her grandmother has currently passed away, so though it is a rejoiceful time it is also a sad time. Abbi arrives at college with a quilt her Grandmother made her and also a hatbox with photos from her Grandmother's life including one of her Grandmother and a friend that lo

I always enjoy a good time travel romance. With a plot of mystery and almost an impossible love this story is amazing and heart-breaking.

I take some time before I decide to rate a book with 5 stars. It's difficult to hold a book up to my all-time favorites but I definitely finished Angie Stanton's Waking in Time on a major high! LOVED IT!

Admittedly, it took some time for me to fall in love with this book--about 25-30% of the way through to be exact. I felt that the beginning of the book was a little fast-paced and didn't give me enough character and plot development details to hold my interest. I even contemplated moving this tit

This was a fun and entertaining book about time travelling. I love time travelling books so I was really excited to read this one. It didn’t turn out to be that good as I hoped it would be, but still it was worth the read.
It followed the main character Aby. She goes to the same collage as her recently passed away grandmother. One day after she falls asleep she wakes up in a different time. Everything else is the same – the bed, room, also the things on her bed travel with her. But she realizes t

Waking in Time is about a girl who, one day, wakes up to discover that she's travelled back in time and that whenever she goes to sleep at night, she travels farther back; first 1983, then 1970, and so on. She finds out that there's another person, a boy named Will, who travels further in time. They fall in love and now they have to find out how to stop travelling in time so they can find each other again. And there's also the complication of finding a missing baby...

But the baby is more

The story is about a young woman called Abbi who is just beginning her first year at University . She is really pleased to be going to the same University as her grandmother did despite her mother's reservations about being so far from home . I knew little about this plot before I started this story so it quickly gained my interest when I found out there was lots of family secrets , time travel , love and plenty of adventures . This was so awesome! All the women in Abbi's family are gutsy likeab ...more

I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.  Thank you!  The book was just released on March 1st.

I honestly enjoyed this story more than I thought I would.  In the interest of full disclosure, I chose it because I wanted a nice easy read for my vacation down south.  I thought this would be a good choice to pass the time and catch some rays without too much commitment.

{My thoughts} – Abigail and Will are two incredible individuals. They are both time travels – one goes back in time, and one goes forward in time. They meet each other at various times throughout their travels.

Time travel is an interest of mine, I have always enjoyed most books I have read that have been revolved around this particular aspect. This book didn’t disappoint me, it made me laugh and it made me almost tear up. It had a nice little mystery woven between its pages that helped to keep t

Time travel. These types of reads are always a hit with me. The idea of someone from our time mysteriously whisked back or forward in time, carrying nothing to survive but their instinct, wit and knowledge of history. This is what 'Waking in Time'gave us! A methodically well written story about Abbi and Will, two people who are separated by decades and time. I first judged the book too quickly, thinking it moved too slow. But I unk

This book is amazing! I did not have a hard time following along with the time travel. Loved Abbi and Will and all of the secondary characters. The only thing I wish was for more at the end. A little more detail as to what happens for them together. I feel like it ended abruptly. Overall though I fell in love with another one of Angies books!

Enjoyable time travel with an unusual setting of the University of Wisconsin-Madison! This was published by Capstone Press which is better known for its nonfiction. Betsy-Tacy fans may recall that this publishers is headquartered in Mankato, MN.

I absolutely loved WAKING IN TIME. It was the perfect combination of history, mystery, and romance. As Abbi travels backwards in time, she also falls in love, and solves a family mystery. I couldn't put it down!

I’m a huge fan of time-travel stories, so when the author offered this one up for review (at an event I attended) I had to snatch it up! I’m glad I did because it turned out to be a great read!

The story follows Abbi, who wakes up one morning and it’s suddenly 1983. Everyone seems to know her, but she doesn’t know anyone … or know how or why she’s traveled. This would be bad enough, but she keeps heading backward further and further—she’s never sure how long she’ll be in one place or why she’s en

I went to read this, however the file had not transferred to my kindle, and as it is an old backlog I cannot send from NG any longer. Sounds like a good book though.

Well damn. This book was sooooooo weird for me. I was extremely compelled to read it, and couldn't put it down (staying up until the wee hours of the night to finish it). But I was also kind of unsatisfied with many aspects of the story, and I'm not exactly sure what was compelling me. Honestly, I think I just wanted to know the answers. I wanted to

Time travel, mysteries, romance and family drama, this book really had it all.

Abbi has just lost her grandmother, who had made her promise to find a baby she has no idea of. Now she started college, the last she expected was to end up in a constant travel to past, going farther and farther from her own time. The only person who could help her is a genius physics professor who, with each meeting, knows less about her. In the midst of loneliness, she meets Will, someone making the exact journey bu

I received an ARC of this book as part of a bundle from the publishers and while YA time-travel romance isn't generally something I would seek out to read, I decided to give this a go as the idea did sound intriguing.

In theory this storyline was pretty solid - Abbi and Will find themselves randomly travelling through time with no real idea why. Along they way they meet a professor who has dedicated his career to helping unravel their mystery and who provides an anchor for them, a constant in wha

~ 3 Time Traveling Stars ~

This book I feel is going to be one you are either going to love it or hate it. I find myself somewhere in the middle. I enjoyed the storyline and characters but it really didn’t WOW me. I think that is because a time traveling storyline just really isn’t my thing.

I am not a huge fan of the time traveling storyline, but because I have read every other Angie Stanton book, I thought I would giv

I absolutely loved this book! It was a fun spin on a time travel, mystery and romance all wrapped up in one. I don't want to give anything away, so if you like stories with time travel, Romance and mystery you will love this one as much as I do. It is definitely one I can listen to again and again and probably pick up new things the next time like I do most time travel books. I would place this at a middle schooler and above level book for appropriateness, there is one sex scene but much is left ...more

Very fun unique read. A very interesting take on time travel and history. It felt refreshing to read.
I received this arc through Netgalley via request.

I absolutely adored this book. I loved Will and Abby's adventure and romance over the decades, and I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book, waiting to see where her travels would take her. The plot was excellently planned out. I just simply adored that this book managed to capture sci fi aspects, as well as historical fiction, packed neatly into a sweet contemporary story of first love, family, and fate. I will DEFINITELY be

The first thing that drew me to this book was that it was for teens and involved time travel. After reading the summary, I knew I was going to love this book. And I did. Although some spelling errors got me a little confused "grandfather" instead of "great-grandfather", I was still able to follow it and felt like I was on a journey back in time. I found myself wanting Abbi and Will to stay together. Great book. Loved it!
Not a fan

Too convenient in places. Characters quite one dimensional. Insta love rubbish. Teen characters talked like they were middle aged. Not a fan.

Stanton's outstanding writing drew this reader from the first page to the last in her compelling novel with complex and appealing characters, ones who intersect in remarkable ways across time and historic events. In some ways (very good ways) it reminded me of David Levithan's EVERY DAY. This twist on a traditional time travel story lies in the hearts of its characters, and not just the protagonist. The role of the campus of University of Wisconsin takes on huge significance and is much more tha ...more

Thoroughly excellent book!! Does exactly what I expected from the blurb with a nice mystery as a kicker. Reads a bit like good contemporary ya but with a time travel kicker to improve it hehe! Incredibly well done. I did figure out the mystery but I quite liked that I did ;) I liked how all the characters tied together in the end.

Wow, this book was cute.
I've got a soft spot for all things time travel.
Yes, there were holes.
Yes, it got a bit cliche.
But I read it in a day and it's totally a feel good book.
