Very informative and I learned a lot about air plants and how to care for them. One of the facts I learned was that rainwater is the best for all plants, however you cannot use distilled water due to the sodium content being too high for plants. If you use tap water, it has to sit out for one hour prior to watering your plants that way the chlorine can evaporate from the water and is less harmful for your plants. I thought that was a cool fact. I initially read this book to learn more about air plants after my dad told me that they grow with minimal water, sunlight, and no soil. I thought it was pretty cool, so I decided to learn a little bit more and this book did not disappoint. I recommend this book to anyone that is looking into air plants, knows nothing about them, or is beginning to garden and wants to learn about all kinds of plants and expand their knowledge.
Short and to the point, I'm new to 16 air plants and so far, all is well. This book explains the basics for me clearly. I see a pup on one of my plants and it's nice to know that section is addressed in this short read too. I have mine under florescent lights and I'm wondering if I should move them further away , 6 or 7 inches above a cool grow light. According to info in this book, bright indirect light is what these plants like. Over all the information is very helpful
A very good introduction to air plants and their care.
This was a quick introduction to air plants and how to care for them. It was very informative and helpful. Most air plants don't come with much info on care. I think this will be most helpful in my growing air plants in the future. It would be helpful if there were more sources listed for reference and growers or suppliers of air plants. Illustrations or photos would also be a nice addition.
This may be a small book, but within its pages lies everything you need to know about the care and maintenance of the fascinating life of air plants. My only wish I'd that I had found it sooner. An abundance of basic knowledge this little time is now my 'go-to guru's for everything epithite.
Enjoyed this book very much. Everything a beginning air plant enthusiast needs to know written in simple language. Having just begun my venture into air plants this book was very helpful.😀
Great basic info that really applies to most plants. Good Read! Please read and use these ideas, you will enjoy having healthy plants. They all need light, water, and air to live. Just different amounts, for different types of plants.
I got a lot from this. It would have been better with pictures but not necessary. Thanks for the info. My Plants have grown one and a half inches. I love them. Ruby
