"Are you turning me down?" "Yes," she said seriously. "I have no interest in your bed." He stepped closer, almost touching her body. "I'm not called The Punisher for no reason." "Well, baby, then go find yourself someone else to punish," she said, staring into his eyes. "I can fuck any girl here," he said, staring at her lips. She was taken aback at the crude comment. "Then I suggest you better get to work."-Trent and Sam

This was a light, short, sexy reading about a hot as hell, cocky fighter and a feisty, sassy and dynamic heroine...
Even though this novel was short, i catched myself to enjoy this story very much!!!

I loved both Trent and Samantha... I liked the burning chemistry between them, but what i've liked even more was the fact that even the book was so short, the pace that the things were moving was very good!!!

Everything started with a slap in a Las Vegas club...

I had high hopes for this one. The blurb made it sound right up my alley. Unfortunately, it just didn't end up being that great for me.

My main problem was Trent himself. He was such a HUGE self-centered egotistical douchenoodle at the start that I was already over him five minutes after being introduced to him. But I continued on hoping that we would see some character growth and I would warm up to him. That never happened. He pretty much stayed the same self-centered asshole through the whole

This was an extremely fun and steamy read! Mila’s writing style is gorgeous and I connected with her characters immediately. The story is absolutely interesting so it’s no surprise that I’ve read it in one sitting. Trent and Sam are both very complex characters who have been through a lot and the chemistry between them is phenomenal. I loved getting to know them both more and I was rooting for them throughout this whole book, of course. Sam is such a great character… I mean, she listens to Aaliy

This is the highest rating i have given to any novella i have read so far...and this one deserves it to the pin point!

My demands for a joyous reading of a novella are based on covering all the aspects that rule in this literal form and here they were almost all reached and fulfilled...

and in this case I simply wanted another glimpse into the future of the characters' lives...

Other than that, this was surprisingly refreshing read concerning the approach in bringi

This is the story of Sam and Trent!

This is a difficult book to write a review for because it is a short story and there was no actual development of the characters or the situations. This is not the first time I read a short story but this is one felt kind of off. The plot was nice but it felt rushed and swallow. The characters had no dimension if I take into consideration their past. And I coul

Samantha is desperate to get an exclusive interview with Trent Paige, a world champion boxer. A man she recently slapped across the face in a night club.

This guy shys away from all reporters and keeps himself out of the public eye as much as possible. If Samantha could convince him to open up to her it would be the making of her career. However, their first meeting did not end well so she needs to think outside the box to coax him into even considering talking to her.

She already has her own tho

I really tried. There are so many things wrong with the hero. He is such a douche, I just can't warm up to him. Every second word coming out of his mouth is either a swear word or some come-on towards the heroine which is always a reference to fucking the heroine. He thinks he is god's gift to women and I just can't see how the heroine starts falling for him. They haven't even had a serious talk yet. And honestly, a hero saying "I know you didn't ask me to be a good boy. I'm The fuckin

This was an ok romance between a boxer and a reporter.

Going the distance, literary starts with Sam slapping a guy at a club in Vegas because he insults her.

What she was not aware of, was that the guy was Trent “The punisher” Page the light heavyweight champion of the world and oh, she was going to regret that action so bitterly.

When she got back from Vegas, her boss, at the paper where she works, told her to get an interview from The Punisher, because he didn’t ever give interviews and the paper needed something to boost the sale. Otherwise, she wo

If you're looking for a short and sexy read, this is a good book to check out. I am a huge fan of sports romances, and I especially love boxers, having grown up with legends like Oscar De La Hoya. I wouldn't say I was in love with this book or the main characters, but I did enjoy the story and the way Sam and Trent's relationship developed organically. There wasn't any insta-love, which was such a welcome relief. I hate insta-love!

Sam wasn't a pushover, which I liked from the start. I thought h

Trent is quite the honest man, “I can’t make that promise, babe, cause I picture you all the time. In bed, in the shower, in the kitchen.” I loved this book, Sam was the perfect woman to set Trent straight.
3-3.5 stars

This was a pretty good story. I liked Sam and Trent and enjoyed their story overall. This is the first story I've read by this author and I liked it well enough that I'd consider trying more of her work in the future.

Samantha (aka Sam) is a reporter for a newspaper. Sam grew up with parents that were both junkies so she grew up tough and very self-reliant. She doesn't usually write sports but the paper lost their sports writer recently and things are tough enough that her editor is ma

As soon as you start reading, you know it's going to be good..
The chemistry between Sam & Trent is instant.
Even though it was a short story,I really enjoyed it.

But eventually they both show each other what they're

I got a free copy of this fun novella from the author, and I quite enjoyed it ;) I read only one of her other books, actually one written under the pseudonym Alice Lake and really liked that historical romance, so when she approached me with a proposition to read one of her contemporary stories, I was definitely interested ;) since it’s a shorter read, my review will be a bit on the shorter side as well... after all, you don’t want me to spoil you every little detail of the book, right? ;) so ho ...more

“You make me feel, babe.”

Going The Distance is such a fun, steamy, short read about a cocky boxer who thinks he’s all that and a bag of chips and a spunky, feisty reporter who doesn’t take anyone’s crap. It’s told in dual points of view and will have you panting from all the crazy tension between the two characters.

Sam was enjoying her last night of a mini vacation with her girlfriends in a Vegas club when she was summoned by “The Punisher” to come have a good time. As if his arrogance and his n

The moment Samantha slapped Trent in the nightclub I wanted to cheer! I knew right then that I was going to love her character and their story. I wasn't wrong.
Samantha is a tough, independent woman who doesn't take crap from anyone no matter how famous or good looking they are.
Trent is an arrogant arse with a dirty mouth who needs to be taken down a peg or two. Samantha is just the girl to do that as she doesn't give a toss that he's famous. I loved how she didn't just fall at his feet like ever

A quick and fun read.

I could easily relate to Samantha and I think most women will. Trent, on the other hand, might be just too much for some readers. His level of cockiness and arrogance were off the charts! I’m not a huge fan of alpha males but I kept reading because I was enjoying the plot and the chemistry between the main couple. The sexual tension was there but I was glad the author didn’t exaggerate on the sex. Some novellas make it all about the sex, and this wasn’t the case.

The witty banter back and forth between the two main characters makes the book. From the very beginning, Samantha is clear she isn't impressed by the massive man who thinks he can have any woman in the Vegas club and tells her so while trying to manhandle her. He is full of himself and comes off as a shallow, foul-mouthed muscle head. She embarrassed him in front of his buddies, took off and thought she'd never see him again. (Made me laugh- well described and skillfully written.)

This book was my first book by Mila Rossi. Great book and storyline. I absolutely loved Sam, may even have a girl crush on her She was tough and kick ass. She is a reporter in Las Vegas to relax with some friends. This is where she meets Trent, he is a boxer that just lost his first fight and sends over bodyguards for her, which pisses her off. Then he comes over himself and says some highly inappropriate things to her, which causes him to get slapped.

Long story short, her boss makes her go and

This was my first book by the lovely Mila Rossi and I'm so happy to have experienced her writing. Samantha and Trent keep you sucked into the story in strong vice grip where you just can't stop until the end. Samantha has so many traits that you can't help but love. Her strength and strong will make for some intense and amazing parts. Trent is this badass fighter who has hit his low point. He is trying to get out of it when he meets Samantha. You definitely need to get your hands on this book! Y ...more

Samantha would have never guessed that the stranger she slapped in a Vegas nightclub could jeopardize her job. She is a reporter and her boss wants her to get an interview with Trent Page, The Punisher, Heavyweight World Champion, who has just lost the first match in his career. She was shocked to find that stranger was Trent. Will she able to convince him to give her the interview?

The chemistry between the two was smoking! I really enjoyed this book and it's a great read!!

I adored this book. I was able to connect with two people who were both fighters in their own right. Both Sam and Trent had fought through tough childhoods and came out swinging on the other end. "Going the Distance" was an unexpected surprise. It's only about 125 pages and really packed a punch and quite honestly I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

While having fun with her friends on the dance floor, Sam is approached by the body guards of Trent "The Punished" Page. He just lost his very fight and wants a women to work out some of his frustration. Sam is shocked and is having
