I need to get my motor running.
All I want is to learn how to build engines,
Cars, motorcycles--anything.
You name it; I want to feel it rev in my hands.
Fabricate it into something mine,
Bend it to my will,
Create what hasn't been built before.

But nobody takes me seriously,
And I'm no damsel in distress.
I can and will get my hands dirty,
Very dirty.

And now, I have that

DISCLAIMER: I received an e-ARC of this book (via Alexis Noelle and the author) in exchange for honest review.

Have you ever admired someone because of the work they do? Ever had a dream to learn their methods because they inspire you to move forward with your dream? Well, that's what this book is about, with a generous amount of bickering and bantering between two characters who are extremely attracted to each other.

Jada love fabricating and designing with metal. The thing is, she is always work

Have you ever read a book that was so good that even after you finished reading it, the story stayed with you for days after? That's how I felt after reading Fabricating Jada. It was one of the best books I have read this year!

Vanessa Marie wrote an amazing story that grabs you at the cover and won't let you go until you've read the final page, and even then you are wanting more. This well-written story has everything you want in a book... emotions, angst, drama, humor, a great story-line, inter
Loved it and it is one of my favorites this year. Jada is a young woman with a dream. She wants to fabricate things and build cars but her family situation stands in her way. When her idol Jesse Valentine is teaching a class, her mom urges her to go for it.

I thought Jada was a great character. She has an unusual dream for a woman but is brimming with talent and when she finds her hero to be tainted (Jesse is a real jerk to her and they constantly clash) she does not give up. She has to travel f

** I received an ARC in return for an honest review**

Vanessa Marie is new to me as an author so was great to receive this ARC to see what her writing style was like.

Jada supports her family after an injury to her father when she was younger. She feels like she's put aside her own dreams and life to do this. Her mother try's to provide support but both are emotionally abused by her father.
Jada's mother spies an opportunity for Jada to learn from her idol Jesse Valentine and pushes Jada to apply.

WOW!!! The best story I've read this year and I've read quit a few. if I could give it 10 stars I would.

it's about a female mechanic who has learned everything on her own who comes from a trailer park. she has a chance to go to her idols fabricating class and learn from him and it goes from there.

the chemistry Jada and Jesse had was through the roof. always arguing and bickering. everyone around them knew that they liked each other but them.

this was a slow burn romance, there was also real topic

WOW! I couldn't put it down for a second. I may have even walked into a wall and not really realized it. This is one of the best books I've read by far! There aren't too many out there with a sassy female mechanic/fabricator that knows their shit. I was so impressed with this book that it left me speechless for a good long while. For anyone that knows me that's a hard thing to accomplish. The dynamic was flawless and the chemistry was off the charts! It had me right there with them arguing and s ...more

I absolutely love Fabricating Jada. Jada and Jesse are perfect for each other. I would have loved it even more it it was duel point of view. I wanted to get inside Jesse's head so bad. The story was perfect without it. I just wanted a peak. Love Jada's spunk and determination. She's one bada** chick. Jesse on the other hand is a bit of an a**hole, but we love him anyways. It let's you see why he is the way he is. You get to see different sides of him. I totally fell in love with him. The seconda ...more

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a good book that pulled me in from the beginning. I loved Jada, and there was major bonus points that she was a mechanic, since female mechanics are rare to find in books. I also really liked Jesse. It was fun following their story, and seeing how everything turned out for them.

I loved this book!! I loved Jada and Jesse, the back and forth snark is the best. The challenges of Jada being a female in the industry are a part of what brings them together even if Jesse does it in an unconventional way. I couldn't get enough of this book! ...more

I loved this!

I really liked this, it had my favorite type of heroine. The disinterested heroine, while she appreciated that the hero was hot she didn't turn into a complete moron just seeing him.

What absolute joy to read! I haven't read a book this good in a very long time.

The story line is just amazing. Love that this is a bout a "WOMAN" that is trying to pursue her dreams. Jada is a woman that is trying to do the right thing in helping care for an ailing father. But during this process she has lost herself. She has allowed others to steal her dream from her and push her down below her worth.

Jesse is a huge name in the fabricating industry that has lost sight of why he does what he d

This book was a diamond in the rough to be honest. I loved it so much that it actually surprised me. I have it for a while now on my TBR list but for some reason I never started even if it has one of my absolute favorite tropes in it. When a woman tries to or does prevail in a mostly male dominated profession. I just love those.
I never read anything from the author before this and to be honest when I read the first chapter I had my doubt because it’s starts out quite, how do I say it, not am

Thank you to the author, Vanessa Marie, and Shannon from Once Upon An Alpha for gifting me with an ARC copy of Fabricating Jada in exchange for an honest review!

1. The characters. Let me preface this by saying I don't think I've ever read a book where the main character is a girl who likes to build cars (well, maybe one, but I think it was just drag racing). So I thought it was really cool that the storyline showed scenes of Jada making things from scraps of metal and doing what she loves. These

Jada’s dream is to build cars. Her leisure time is spent tinkering around with mechanics in her shed and flipping through the pages of hot rod magazines. But Jada’s had to put her dreams on the back burner in order to help her family with their finances. When Jada gets the opportunity to attend a class taught by one of the best in the business, she is more than ready to get her hands dirty under his tutelage.

At the Louisville Authors Event in May I was at Vanessa Marie's table checking things out and she started telling me about this book. Said it had a Jesse James type guy, a strong female lead, and lots of angst. I thought to myself, hey I like all those things, so I had to check it out and I'm so glad I did!!

Fabricating Jada has to be one of the best books I've read in a very long time. It's sexy, sweet, and has amazing characters.

Jada has a dream, a huge dream, to fabricate things out of metal, things like hotrods. But she needs training, expert, professional level training that she hasn't gotten from the Youtube videos she's been watching, and what with her having to support her parents because of her dad's health problems, she has absolutely no money or time to obtain that dream. But one day, her

I loved this book. There aren't many books about strong determined woman and this is one of the best I've read. Jada is a woman who knows her cars and is a mechanic but wants to be a fabricator. No one takes her seriously, except maybe Carter and her mom. Jada has fought for her dream and is constantly faced with people who don't believe she is who she says she is. Because of this she doubts her own

I won't repeat the have already read it. Lets get to the good stuff!

I absolutely ADORE Jada!! I thought I was going to have an issue with her at first. there were hints that she was a pushover but I didn't see much of that from her. She was "pocket-sized" and strong and determined. Even after she was hurt right off the bat! I loved how the book centered around a woman trying to make it in a "mans" job. I also loved the way she learned everything from youtube. I want her as my

Vanessa is a new-to-me author. This is the first book of hers that I've read, and it definitely will NOT be my last!

The plot of this book is utterly original. I've never read anything quite like it, and it had me so intrigued, I read it in one sitting. Jada is not your typical girl. She doesn't dream of big white weddings with a fairy-tale prince. No, she dreams of metal grinding and welding arcs. She wants to create, and there's one person she

This is the first book I have read by Vanessa and I was hooked. It was hard to put the book down. I do wish it could have been and Jesse's point of view also. Vanessa had great details throughout the book. Tools I haven't heard of so I did Google some because I want to know what that tool looked like (for my benefit). Looking forward to more books by Vanessa.

I really enjoyed the concept of this book but the delivery was a little lacklustre. It would have benefitted from a lot more focus on character and a lot less cliches. There were wayyyyyy too many romance tropes/cliches to keep track of: enemies-to-lovers, rags-to-riches, teacher-student, abusive parent, sick parent, celebrity MC, paparazzi, precocious kid, best friend that calls female MC a hooker and a bitch because she’s so incredibly cool, injury leading to hospital, overbearing overprotecti ...more

I really loved this easy Sunday afternoon read. The story follows Jada who is a female mechanic who wants to do fabricating (which turns out to be something to do with cars ...who knew) and she gets an opportunity to work with her idol Jesse Valentine, a gorgeous famous car fabricator.
Turns outs he's a bit of a douche and they clash and butt heads constantly and I kinda loved the dynamics between the two.

This far exceeded my expectations! I don't mean it poorly I promise! The blurb is spot on with grabbing your attention and building onto it. I originally expected this to be centered on the heroine and the secondary characters taking a backburner which works for some stories like I thought this one might be. I definitely expected to like this at the very least, but grew to LOVE it. The author did a Fuctastic job at developing the story and these characters. I never felt rushed in a

WOW WOW WOW !! This is my first book by this author and it blew me away. I read a lot of books and this has to be one of my top 10 favorite. If I could have given it 10 starts I would have. Jesse, Jada and all the secondary characters were incredible. The chemistry was off the charts with Jesse and Jada. I usually like to read books that have dual POV because it helps the story to be able to know what both characters are thinking. Although I would have loved to know what Jesse was thinking when ...more

This story is about a woman who had a dream, finally gets an opportunity to learn not only more about her craft, but learn from the best. She has moxie, a temper, and a hard work ethic. She is a fighter, who goes after her dream, who continues to get up, no matter how many times she is knocked down. He is an alpha male with an attitude and a gift. He is a superstar with some trust issues. While reading this story, I found myself laughing quite often. From the first moment they meet, they go head ...more

Vanessa Marie is a new to me author, but not anymore. I have found another author to add to my favourites list.

I loved that Jada wasn't a damsel in distress. She throw herself into a "mans world" and showed the jerks she knew what she was doing. The fact that she loved her parents so deeply and gave everything to them, touched my heart and more then once made me smile out of pride for her.

Jesse was a pig. But I loved him. He was tough on the outside , but deep in his heart he was a protector.

This book was amazing! I haven't read any other mechanic/car books so this was a first in that category for me! I don't know what I was expecting to get out of this book but I was blown away!

I loved Jada! She was funny and quirky and she was pretty bad ass if you ask me!

I absolutely loved Fabricating Jada. Immediately from the start you will have a soft spot in your heart for Jada. She is a beautifully talented person who does all she can to care for her family. Jada grows a backbone and you love her all the more as you watch her character grow. I would definitely recommend Fabricating Jada to anyone. Whether you are into vehicle buil ...more
