Excellent simplification of understanding the past tenses in Spanish

We have followed Gordon and Cynthia for many years and enjoy their method of teaching from and English speakers perspective. This book explained the tenses simply and the answer section explains the 'why' it is a particular tense, unlike many other books we've studied. We did improve throughout the book but will be revisiting it again to further improve. Learning a new language is not easy but this book is a great help, I know we're improving 'poco a poco'.

I absolutely loved this book! As a student of Spanish for over 10 years, and using many methods to learn the very complicated past tense verbs in Spanish, I loved the simplicity of their methods.
The audio book version was very easy to listen to and the accompanying PDF meant I had the exercises to practise.
Will move on to some of his other books now!

I found this book immensely helpful. There were an extensive number of practice exercises that brought murky concepts into the clear. Available on Kindle Unlimited. Heavily tilted toward Castilian Spanish.

Perfecting the past

Excellent coverage of the past tenses with some extremely good tricks to help you to know which tense you should be using. I would highly recommend reading this the first time you come across past tenses in Spanish. It will make so much sense of everything else you come across later. No need to struggle with this subject if you read this book first. Lots and lots of exercises with explanations as to why each answer is correct. Never seen that in other grammar books before.
