Tick…tock…tick…tock. Will you make it past midnight?

What do you do when you’re new to a town where unexplainable things keep happening? Rosie moves to Middleton right after Mackie, a star on the high school football team, has just died and it may have been his best friend Omar’s fault. Rosie tries to help Omar get over his grief as the whole town blames him for the accident, but Mackie’s ghost doesn’t seem to be satisfied. What can they do to stop the haunting?

It's another book from the Midnight series! This one has been my favourite so far. While the boys were a little dramatic, the whole story was just creepy and suspenseful. This to me felt very reminiscent of the old Are You Afraid of the Dark? episodes from the 90’s. And the ending is by far the best part.

I loved this book, almost as much as I loved the ending. :D

Low level, high interest spooky read for reluctant readers at the middle or high school level... I liked this one a lot, a little spooky and physiological... Reminded me of Are You Afraid of the Dark?
