Great overview of the history of prom and the cultural evolution surrounding its customs and attendance. Lots of emphasis on challenges faced by LGBT students, but lots of hope, too. The last chapter features notes from twenty-somethings with advice for high school students planning to attend prom. All in all, a nice, well-rounded look at prom.
