This is a super fun, super sexy from start to finish. It's has great characters and moves along at a nice pace. I'm looking forward to more from this author. This one starts out with Shade Gruber leaving Chicago in his vintage Cadillac when he comes upon a runaway bride on the side of the ride beside her broken down Jag. This starts the road trip that will change both their lives. They have a bit of a rough start but before long Vivi and her joy of the small things in life seem to go straight to ...more

I loved this book! You can always count on Cynthia D'Alba to write a fun, witty and romantic ready. I eat up every book of her last series and Cadillac Cowboy is a great start to this new series. Shade Gruber is on his way to his new life in Whispering Springs Texas. He's driving his grandmothers newly renovated Cadillac convertible from Chicago taking his time to enjoy the country as he goes. While,on a deserted road he comes across a runaway bride, Vivi Vaught. An entertaining and enjoyable romance, this novel is somewhat suspenseful as Victoria Vaught flees from her own wedding upon discovering an unsavory truth about her fiancé. Jumping into his Jag, she takes off, still dressed in her wedding gown and veil, only to break down a short while later on a country road. Taking the long route to his new destination, Officer Shade Gruber is enjoying the ride when he comes upon an abandoned Jag and then a bride limping down the road. Descriptive passages in ...more

By: Cynthia D’Alba

Cynthia D’Alba is a new author for me , and I really enjoyed Cadillac Cowboy, and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. The story and the characters both were easy to follow. Vivi , is a runaway bride who decided she did not want to marry her fiance’ . So she runs out and takes his Jaguar and drives out of Chicago. Shade is headed to Texas where his family is at. He sees this woman , Vivi , walking down the road in a wedding dress. Does Shade sto

I just loved this story with Vivi and Shade. Comical but serious. Cynthia always comes through with her stories. They grab your attention from the start and you won't want to put this down until it's finished. Shade is headed to Texas when he comes upon a run-away bride walking down the road. Vivi is a sassy one and brave. She doesn't know that Shade knows who she really is. He tries to dump her at the first hotel but she's one up on him. She stays one up on him throughout the whole story.

A wonderful start to a new series with a HEA, the characters are well developed, with depth and personality that carries you through the entire story. The humor is infectious with a delightful dialogue riddled with witty banter. I thoroughly enjoyed Shade and Vivi...a more unlikely pair than you'd expect, but they were perfect together. I look forward to their appearance in the next book in the series.

This ARC was provided by the author for my honest review.

Shade Gruber picks up a pretty damsel in distress dressed in a wedding gown walking on a country road– Chicago socialite Vivi Vaught has abandoned her fiancé and her wedding and is on the run. Shade is transporting his grandmothers reconditioned classic Cadillac convertible from Chicago to Texas while he is in the process of moving there himself with a job transfer. Thing is, does he want to keep the comely Vivi with him, or would he be better off dumping her along the way. Although they are fro ...more

What a delightful story. It was full of charm, humor and chivalry. It's a runaway bride story. Cynthia revised this from the original kindle worlds story.

Shade Gruber, former Chicago cop, is driving his grandmother's restored vintage cadillac home to Diamond Lakes Texas. He's got a new job and his family waiting for him there. He no more than makes it a few miles down the road than he spies a woman in full bridal regalia walking down the side of the highway in high healed white shoes. Like any

Four and a half stars.

Cadillac Cowboy by Cynthia D'Alba, originally part of the Hell Yeah! Universe collection and now third in the Diamond Lakes, Texas, series, is a sweet read with a little bit of punch! Shade Gruber is a newly minted Texas police officer driving to his new home in Big Branch while leaving the streets of Chicago behind. He feels duty bound to rescue a bedraggled runaway bride stranded on the side of the road. He recognizes her as Victoria Vaught, a high society princess of sor

How can you not love a book that starts off with a bride walking down the road wearing a huge wedding dress and a hot cop/cowboy driving a refurbished Cadillac convertible, ready to help this damsel in distress?

This was a fun, humorous quick read that made me smile. At only 98 pages, this novella was just what I was looking for to fill a couple of hours on a dull Monday. Vivi is a wealthy runaway bride trying to get away from her not-so-nice fiance in Chicago when she meets up with Shade, a form

If you are looking for a quick fun read, look no further. Shade Gruber is getting out of town in his grandmother's cadillac. Roof and windows down. Nothing but the breeze and rolling down the highway. Victoria Vaught is a runaway bride. Car broke down and she is walking down the highway in her wedding dress. From the moment these two meet, the banter between them is hilarious. Underneath all that, there is sizzle. Shade is trying to be honorable and Vivi just wants to go to Texas with him. I wil ...more

Shade is on his way to Texas and picks up a runaway bride from the side of the road. Victoria Vaught tells him her name is Liza. He knows she’s lying because he was a detective in Chicago and Vivi was a frequent guest of the drunk tank, lol. He gives her a ride, but decides to ditch her, at the next town. What a surprise to find her in the locked car the next morning. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say I enjoyed this sexy read and I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author. ...more

So this was the cutest book! It was an easy and fun read. I loved Vivi and her bubbly personality as well as her grit and determination. Shade is the proper Southern Gentleman, and I have a weekness for those. This is going to end up on the list of cute refreshing things I read when i need a break. The only thing, my South Louisiana butt took issue with Mid Arkansas being called "the South" but the poor Chigao raised, Vivi didn't know any better. ;) ...more

You can never go wrong with a Cynthia D'Alba book. Shade picks up Victoria hitchhiking in a wedding dress. He's not anxious to get involved but there's something about her that draws him. I typically don’t like romances on the road, but this was a really cute story. Shade picks Vivi up on the side of the road in a wedding dress as she ran away from her wedding. Of course, her fiancé is a bad guy, but luckily this story was focused on the romance as they travel together rather than outrunning the fiancé.

Cadillac Cowboy was short, sweet, and sexy. This was my first read from Cynthia D'Alba and it won't be my last. Ms. D'Alba delivered a compelling story despite the number of pages. There wasn't as much character development as I like in my books but this was due to its length. The characters were likeable and relatable and the story engaging. My only wish was for more.

Absolutely loved this book. From the opening lines the story of flowed like a delightful film. The characters will intrigue and delight from their bantering flirtation to their steamy heated scenes. Great plot and story development, everyone loves a runaway bride.

I so liked this book and thought that Shade and Victoria had a cute couple, although Shade had a hard time trying to fight off the attraction as he knew that could not compete with her wealthy life style. I thought it very funny that Victoria got giddy with shopping at WALMART!!

Picking up a runaway bride was the last thing Shade expected to do on his way to Texas. The worst part was he knew who she was and she is way out of his league.
Vivian is a Chicago heiress, on the run from her almost husband who is shadier than she could ever imagine. Shade knew but played along at least for a while.
I don't know which I giggled at more, her first visit to Walmart or to a Waffle House.
A delightful journey from Chicago to Texas, meeting his family on the way. Some anxious moments

Cynthia D'Alba has written another fun and adventurous novel with Cadillac Cowboy, the first book from her brand new Whispering Springs series. It is a fast-paced read, replete with an engaging storyline, well-defined characters, and a complicated, yet seductive romance. The story is basically a road-trip, beginning on the outskirts of Chicago, and ending in the small town of Big Branch, Texas. Although this book is part of a series, it can be enjoyed as a standalone.

I enjoyed this book. It starts with Shade driving down the highway headed south out of Chicago. He sees a disabled Jaguar on the side of the road and then spots a woman in a huge wedding dress marching down the road as well. His Momma and Grandmomma raised him to be a gentleman so he stops for her.

I am not much for reading poor little rich girl stories but I LOVED Cadillac Cowboy even with a wealthy runaway bride in the very center of it. In the past, I had seen Cynthia D'Alba’s name in cowboy romance e-books but had not read one written by her. Now I will read anything she writes. This short novel is just that great.

Cadillac Cowboy had two memorable characters in Shade and Vivi, in a refreshing and original story. Vivi’s love of the common things made her an endearing and brightly shinin
