She writes historical novels, and the latest is "A Woman of Substance," which won Second Place for 2024 BookFest Book Award for Historical Fiction, preceded by a memoir, "The Zigzag Road" which won Third Place at the 2023 BookFest Book Award for Memoir. She was once a C.P.A, then a real estate agent, before she became an author. She enjoys reading, and her favorite genre is historical fiction. She loves to garden, and her favorite flower is the rose which she writes about extensively.
