Despite an interesting writing style and rather somber tone throughout the book, the original premise plays little to no role in the narrative.

Two generations of women are said to have a foresight ability and we never see them actively try to stop anything that's coming, and we're never given an explanation for why it is this way.

I did find some enjoyment from this.

my poor rating is not based on the author's writing ability or style which is actually good, but just on how i felt whilst reading this book and what i walked away with.
On a whole it just seemed too negative with lots of traumas going on and then a happy ending at the last moment to finish it off.
