The moment everything changed didn’t happen in that cliché rockets-red-glare kind of way, it happened in the form of a waking nightmare. I caught my husband, my high-school sweetheart, the father of my children, balls deep in a sordid affair.
That was when I gave up on men and love.

3.75 Stone STARS

Debut author Natasha Madison delivers a solid story of a divorced mother of two’s fall for professional hockey player, Cooper Stone. Parker runs a hockey rink in which the star will be rehabilitating his busted knee in her great town. Parker is still rebuilding her self confidence since her husband and first love left her for another woman.

”I’ve had many years with a man who not only looked through me, he passed me, not looking at me. But you, you see me.”

After reading a later book by this author, I decided to go back in time and check this one out because the main guy from this book appears in the later ones. It worked out just the way going back in time always works out...

Yeah. Time travel is not as funny as it should be.

This book had a lot of similarities to the one that was written later that I read - Tempt the Boss. Except it didn't have all of the funny moments, or much of a storyline. What it did have was sex. Lots and lots of sex. So much

A hot Hockey Star, a strong independent woman, tons of heat and sexual chemistry. You better be ready for Something So Right because this book will leave you panting...

I got to read an early copy of this book by debut author, Natasha Madison and was blown away that this was her first book. Overall, it's a funny, engaging, hot and heartfelt story.
“Tempt the Boss” was the first book I read by this author, and in it Cooper Stone was introduced! I became intrigued by this professional hockey player and had to read his story right away! His book is a series that was written before Tempt the Boss and I hoped it would have the same humour that was in the first book I read. Even though this book wasn’t as humorous, it still was sexy, low angst and a feel good read! I enjoyed it very much and will continue on with this delightful series!

I don't normally like older women/younger men storyline but I have to say I loved Cooper and his devotion to the heroine. Parker was such a great mother and a strong heroine and totally deserved Cooper. Great uplifting story.

I am confused about all of these reviews to the point I am wondering if people have even read the same book that I did. Yes the premise behind the story was excellent and the characters were well developed but the writing itself left a lot to be desired. I am not a fan of the DNF club and make it a point to finish reading every book I start so I kept reading this book thinking it would get better. In truth, I knew before I finished the first page that I wouldn't like it. It doesn't read like a b ...more

Unpopular opinion alert!

I cannot stand this book and the characters in it and I am DNF'ing it now at 25%. I tend to give the books I DNF only 1 star, so 1 star it is!

My main reason for disliking the book is I hate this kind of writing: too much telling but not showing. And because it is from the 1st person point of view, we never know what the as*hole hero thinks. In my opinion, all douche-bag heroes must have their chapters from their point of view so that the reade

I have mixed feelings about this one. Didn’t love it, didn’t hate it. I guess it’s the first book by the author so as first books go it’s ok. However, this was pimped to no end by big authors and bloggers alike and it definitely did not live to my expectations.

As far as sports romances go, the hockey part was pretty accurate, even though she says he won the “Hart Memorial Art Ross trophy“ and those are definitely two separate trophies, at least she didn’t ended the Stanley Cup playoffs in a sho

This book was just brilliant. I enjoyed everything about it. The story is sucked in from page one it was so addictive. I first met Cooper and Parker in Tempt The Boss which i fell in luv with as well. The author really know how to create hot sexy men with dirty mouths God I luvd Coopers character. Parker is sassy and very sexy I really liked her as well she keeps Cooper on his toes. They are so hot together as well the sexual tension is smoking. I would highly recommend this book

So, I have recently read my first book by this author Tempt The Boss and i loved it, it seemed fresh, hilarious and fun...

So, naturally, I wanted to read more books by this author hoping for the same effect BUT by the "same effect" i meant my feelings and impressions after the actual reading and yet I got the literal same effect from the storyline!

It was like i was having a deja vu!

The storyline, like I said was the same as in Tempt the boss, apart from the main cha

I loved this book!
Enjoyable read, likable characters, and fortunately strong heroine!
She was 5 years older than the H, normally it bothers me, but in this case I could live with it.

I liked this one but I did have a very hard time with the female narrator in the intimate scenes. She sounded like a porn star acting out a bratty school girl fantasy.

The storyline was interesting if a little predictable. The characters were original and I liked their connection and interaction with her kids.

I will definitely consider reading/listening to more stories from this author.
“Baby, you can send me away, but this thing, you and me, it’s happening.”

With the absolute PERFECT BLEND of alpha, asshole, and sweetheart, Natasha Madison brings us some of the best heroes around! It seems like I’ve been waiting my whole life to experience the magnetism THAT IS Cooper Stone! I started in the middle of this series and I’ve already been introduced to the ‘family man’ Cooper, so it was nice to go back and see where it all began. I gotta say, if I wasn’t in love with him before

Warning: contains minor spoilers.

As far as debut novels go, I wish I could’ve enjoyed this one more. Unfortunately, Something So Right underwhelmed me in almost every way imaginable. It read more like a first draft, in that it was unpolished and in serious need of proper editing. I found the writing to be pedestrian, lacking a certain depth. The narrative was more diary-like in its presentation—rife with telling instead of showing. In a way, the author talked at me instead of to me with her wri

I don't think this author is for me. While the plot itself was enjoyable (hence the 1.5 stars rounded up to 2), the execution was off. Not a fan of the writing style - too juvenile for me. It felt like I was reading melodramatic teenage drama rather than reading about adults in their 30's.

Our heroine was cheated by her husband and is still afraid of new relationships.
When she meets the hero for the first time she doesn't have good impression of him but even then the two feel an attraction.
She's older and has two children and he is a famous and coveted by women.
I really enjoyed the story, but I thought the drama with his ex was dragged into the story. His ex seemed the monster of the horror movies that always comes back for another episode. The woman wouldn't give up ever.

I know it's romance fiction so maybe this is a silly question - is there such a thing as too much sex in a book? If such a thing is possible the answer might be "yes" for this book. I'm open to hot and heavy scenes as much as the next reader but for me it seemed to take away from the MCs and story development. It was basically a non-sex scene alternating with a sex scene over and over. I wish there had been more character/story development because there was potential there for a really good stor ...more

After I read my first Natasha Madison book, Tempt the Boss I was instantly curious about Cooper and Parker. For some stupid reason I didn't read it right away and I am firmly regretting my decision now that I've finally dived into it. This couple really grabbed my attention and I couldn't put this book down once I started. It had some drama and angst, a lot of sweet moments, and a romance that made me swoon. I really enjoyed this one! It was so much more fun than I expected!

You know that giddy butterfly feeling you get when you read something special or something. I got this at the beginning when Cooper became alpha possessive about Parker. But at times it really bothered me a bit, because sometimes it worked a bit on my nerve.

I hate Monica with a passion doesn't she have self respect? Like does she really think she is so special? And why does her father keep up with her horrible behavior.

I'm sorry but Cooper is a stupid piece of trash to me. I mean what man let's his ex-girlfriend have unfiltered access to his personal home where she is able to park her car in his driveway, and get inside of his house. Not only that, but in order to avoid a straightforward conversation (where he just needed to tell her to leave and admit that he's in a committed relationship), he takes a shower, leaving his ex unattended in his home. Not ONCE, but MULTIPLE times. Furthermore, like the first two ...more

I like Natasha Madison book, Tempt the Boss. I thought the hero is swoon worthy by being father figure. However in Something So Right, its just not working for me.

What does not work is the chemistry between the hero and heroine. Their insta lust is not sexy. I feel more sexual harrastment. And I can not believe the heroine wanting more.

I just DNF this book.

I'm reading a lot of debut novels lately and I'm really enjoying all of them, this was no exception.
Natasha Madison writing reminded me of one of my favorite hockey romance author, not for the story contents but more for the similar feelings she gave me while reading it.

I liked how Parker and Cooper’s relationship developed, sweetly and mainly smoothly, without any major drama but with some realistic tiny bump here and there on the way and a lot of scorching hot sexy times.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I had to concede defeat at about the 30% mark
I just could not seem to engage with these characters unfortunately. There is instalove aplenty but my overriding thought was that it just felt as if the story was being forced along the path that other books have taken previously.
again, it is just one person's opinion and not the consensus of the majority so take it how you will

This book was sent as a freebie from another author and it sounded like the perfect story for my mood. I have heard great things about the author but this is the first one of her books I've read and I am a fan.

I adore the whole growling, possessive alpha hero and Cooper was all that and a little more. From the start he told Parker what he wanted and never let her doubt it. I loved how he reacted to her having kids but I was even happier with how he treated them and loved them.
