QUICK TRICK was previously titled HOME ADVANTAGE and was included in the ALL HE WANTS FOR CHRISTMAS anthology that was released last December. Skye Jordan wanted to release it on its own so the title has been reworked and just a couple of tidbits were changed.

I actually read Quick Trick back when it was called Home Advantage and was part of the 2015, All He Wants For Christmas Anthology. I loved it then, and to say the Skye 'souped' up the sexy in Grant and Faith’s story in this extended version would be an understatement.

After he injures his shoulder & is put on medical leave, he decides to go home for the holidays. This will be his first visit back home since he went pro. I am a sucker for a hockey hottie! And when a playboy falls hard for a small town girl – even better!

We meet Grant Saber, an NHL player on the Rough Riders team. After running through women like water, he decides to head home for Christmas to get away from DC. What he didn’t expect to find was Faith.

“He’d never had to work so hard to get something so simple in his entire life. But the zing he felt all through his body when they really connected was well worth the effort.”

Once again we're treated to a sweet and sexy read from one of my favorite authors, Skye Jordan. Quick Trick introduces us to the sinfully delightful hero Grant Saber, local boy who's made it big in the hockey rink. He's returned home to Holly, NC for the holidays, to rest and recuperate after a shoulder injury has left him sidelined. Coming back after being gone for so long wasn't an easy decision for Grant, but once he runs into town sweetheart Faith Nicholas, he comes to realize home might not

Review: I can't believe it has taken me so long to discover this author!!!! I mean, wow.

This book was a little bit of perfect from the festive setting to some excellent UST and likeable characters. I loved that Faith didn't know who Grant was and even when she did, his fame didn't impress her. It was funny to see how that frustrated him. I

Great beginning to a new series.

Skye Jordan has been one of my favorite authors since I read Reckless. When I found out she was writing a hockey series I knew it would be good.
Skye's writing is so real that I'm immediately sucked into the lives of the characters. I loved Grant and Faith and the small town of Holly NC. I couldn't put this book down. Finally, a hockey series that scores!! Thank you Skye.

Jordan wrote a nice little story called Home Advantage in the anthology 'All I Want For Christmas'. It was a warm, humorous small town love story. It was actually my fav of the stories I read in the anthology.

This is that same novella updated; if your idea of updating a story is to throw in a whole bunch of gratuitous and repetitive sex scenes, slapping on a new title, and re-releasing to make more $.

*Reviewers note: Quick Trick was released last year in an anthology What He Wants for Christmas under the name Home Advantage. The book has been expanded from its novella length, the characters developed more, and some of the names have been changed but it is still a sweet, sexy and enjoyable romance.

There are no guarantees with life. The one constant is change. Whether good or bad change is inevitable. How a person adapts to it, is what shows strength of character. Quick Trick delivers a full course of nostalgia with a side dish of flames. Youth makes life seem so simple, but as we grow into adulthood, we discover just how complicated things can get. Faith was the "It" girl on campus, she got good grades, dated the most popular guy and made it look easy. With her school girl days in the ...more

Grant Saber now an NHL superstar, was always the invisible kid back in high school in his hometown of Holly, North Carolina. Invisible to his peers, his siblings, even his parents. Nobody saw who he was and what he was capable of becoming except maybe his high school coach. 10 years later, forced off the bench to recover from an injury, he finds himself back in Holly, and not so invisible anymore except to maybe Faith Nicholas, the most popular girl back in high school. Only she’s not the same ...more

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

I loved this book and can see it being a great series. I loved the interactions between Grant and Faith from the very start.
Grant Saber returns to his hometown while recuperating from a shoulder injury. Here, he meets Faith Nicholas, the owner of the hardware store where he is sent to retrieve his mother's Christmas tree. Grant is used to getting what he wants, but Faith resists him at every turn, so he sets about trying to win her over.

I had read this as part of an anthology last year. There has been some sprucing up and more detail added. Loved it in the anthology and it was great to visit the town of Holly once again. I had hoped after reading it the first time, Skye would give us more of the the hot hockey players introduced in this story. Yeah!! She feeds her fans!! Looking forward to more of the team getting their HEA. Thank you for seeing a need to kick off a new series! <3

Great read. Loved the fact that they were well established sports stars rather than college stars. On to the next one!

Quick Trick is the first book of the Rough Riders Hockey series and it will definitely not be my last. I am a huge fan of sports romance and it's hockey season so this book was a no brainer for me. That being said I've never read anything written by Skye Jordan so this was a completely new experience for me. Skye did an amazing job of writing this book in a way that set it apart from the typical cocky jock turned lovesick fool storyline.

This was a freebie at the end of Riptide. It was a great teaser for Rough Riders series.

I absolutely loved Grant, even though I wanted to hit him over the head a lot. He was super hot. All alpha male and I like the whole dominance in the bedroom without the heavy BDSM acts.

Faith was a great female lead. Strong and determined but soft and sensitive.

I can't wait to read book 2!!!!

“Home is only home because the people you love are there.”

For Faith Nicholas and Grant Saber, their feelings about where their true “home” is differs greatly. To Faith, her hometown of Holly, North Carolina, is where her heart lies, even though those she loved have passed on, leaving her alone and lonelier than ever. To Grant, Holly is only the town he grew up in, but Washington DC is more of a home than the one where his messed up family still lives because even though he made something of

The Quick Trick is the first of a four part series that focuses on players of the Rough Riders’ hockey team. Up first is Grant Saber, fresh off an injury, who is returning to his home town for the holidays. When Grant steps foot back in his hometown of Holly, North Carolina he really only had practicing with the youth hockey league to look forward to – being that time spent with his family hans’t really been a priority. But suddenly Grant is finding something very appealing about his small town, ...more

Grant Saber was a hockey player for the Rough Riders in D.C. He has hurt his shoulder and hasn’t been released to play yet. He was told to clean up his image some (as he is with a different woman every time he goes out.) Grant goes back to him home town of Holly, NC to help out the high school hockey team as well as some younger players. He has never gotten along well with his parents or two brothers. His parents didn’t support his love of hockey, never went to a game, and tried to get him to go ...more

Very cute. I liked these characters. I really enjoyed Grant because even though he was a playboy (we were told, nothing happened during this book) the way he took to Faith was really freaking cute. I like how he kept trying to convince himself that the only reason he wanted her that much was because she kept turning him down and it was about the chase…I would just smile and think…keep telling yourself that Grant :-) . I really liked Faith. She had class & strength. I like how even though she ...more

I loved this book. I am a sucker for a good hockey romance, and Skye did not disappoint. I was skeptical at first because every author seems to be moving to hockey romance. Many are not so good at it, but Skye way beyond exceeded my expectations! I am dying to read the next book in this series.

Grant left his small home town with a quickness, and hasn’t looked back. Now that he is injured though he decides to visit home. Faith left briefly but returned when her father got sick, and has been

Grant is home for the holidays. He is a professional hockey player and hurt his shoulder. He is a ladies man and his mother has roped him in to being the judge of the ice carving contest.

Faith runs the family hardware store after her father passes away. She needs to bring in more money or she'll have to close the store.

Funny. Smoking hot sex. Hot hockey players. And a fantastic story.

I really liked this story. I thought that Faith and Grant were well rounded characters and I absolutely LOVED their communication! They didn't hide, there were no secrets, and they almost immediately resolved any misunderstandings. They were sweet and silly and steamy as hell.

Great start

What a great start to a new series. Quick trick is flirty, sexy, and heartwarming. I can already see some supporting characters that will make excellent leading characters. Can't wait to read the next one.

Highly recommend this book and this author.
