Welcome to the forest.

Rumors are spreading about beast origins, and it isn't pretty. Once thought to be evil mythical creatures of folklore, humans turn out to be a real part of beast history, and horrifically, a part of beast beginnings. And this discovery of the truth is all thanks to Gabe, a goblin from Broken Branch Falls. He never set out to change the world, but chan

It's Spring Break, and goblin Gabe is having a hard time with the fact his ogress girlfriend, Ona is going away to Cradle Rock to search for evidence of humans. Humans have long been extinct, after all. Ona goes missing, and Gabe rushes with his friends to find her. They stumble upon a village and start a war with a sneeze. Can Gabe save not only Ona but all of beastkind?

I fell in love with the world of beasts in the first book of this series, Broken Branch Falls. It has the charm and wonder lik

Cradle Rock is an excellently fun MG adventure through a fantastical world of Beasts and those strange mythical creatures, humans.

This fun-filled adventure takes middle grade readers into a fantasy world packed with action and imagination.

Spring break has arrived, and Gabe's looking forward to hitting the beach with his best friend. Too bad his girlfriend, Ona, is off to Cradle Rock for hiking instead. When she disappears, Gabe and his friends take off to find her and discover much more than they bargained for.

This is the second book in the Beast World series but can be read--without too much difficulty--as a stand alone.

I feel in love with the quirky group of characters in the first book where our hero a goblin named Gabe fought to keep his town of various beasts together. Now we are on to book two where did you know humans exist and various beasts are eager to discover them. Spring break is happening and what else do teens do but go out and attempt to have fun and of course havoc happen. A great adventure is to be had between the pages of this unique middle grade series.

A light but fun fantasy story for both teens and adults. A spring break becomes a rescue for a group of young beasts who soon discover humans were not as extinct as they'd been lead to believe. The characters are fun if not a little frustrating sometimes. Would make for a fun Disney story though!

And the fun continues!!
This is an action-packed adventure story that keeps you turning the pages. The beast buddies from the 1st book are back and onto new adventures. When Ona, the ogress, gets lost on Spring Break, Gabe (goblin) and Rove (werewolf) head off to the rescue. What they find is a whole lot more than they expect - or want to believe. The adventure takes on a dangerous turn when the beasts meet mythology come to life.
This book should appeal to anyone in middle school or older. A fant

I didn't get into this as much as I thought I would. Still, I'm thinking 4th grade up will enjoy this tale of mythological beasts. The beasts seem to be a lot like humans (visiting the beach, hiking..).which kids might think is fun Maybe I need to find a copy of the first book to appreciate it.
I received a Kindle ARC in exchange for a fair review from Netgalley.

Each slightly longer than the last each book contains some great illustrations and with fairly short chapters make for easy bedtime reading ... though be warned the lure of just another page, another chapter might prove too irresistible. Whilst each can be read as a stand alone read they should ideally be read in order from the beginning if your not wanting to miss out on any of the fun.

A tale of goblins, ogres,, werewolves are all doing whatever it is they as a goblin/ogre/werewolf do; highly e

Cradle Rock (Beast World #2) by Tara Tyler is a middle grade fantasy book that has a terrific cover that had me right away. The story is pretty cute too. A clash of worlds in which a human boy is tired of being picked on and takes off. He is spotted by beastly creatures who thought humans were extinct. The merging to the two species doesn't go well in town have to read it to find out what happens. It is a cute story but it lacked a lot of depth to the characters. I didn't find them as ...more

What a fun, magical and beastly adventure where the main character is a Goblin. Did you know humans are real? This is the second book in the Beast World series. It made me laugh. I really enjoyed reading about all the beasties in the world especially dragons, which have alway been a favorite of mine. A great MG fantasy.
