Leslie Pike's debut novel, The Trouble With Eden, is a sexy and entertaining read. The story is told from the view points of both main characters, Bliss and Steven, which helped heighten the emotional experience and journey.

I loved Bliss right away. She is such a strong heroine, but also has a softer vulnerable side. She's smart, independent, knows what she wants, and is unwilling to settle. Yes, her stubbornness causes some problems, but it's understandable given the circumstances. My favorite

What a gift new author Leslie Pike has given us in The Trouble with Eden. She is pure genius with her words and has brought together a book that is an amazing masterpiece.
The Trouble with Eden at times had me laughing at the antics, crying at the low parts and cheering and smiling at the highs. Bliss and Steven embark on an intense and sensual romance in this read and experience quite a rollercoaster as their love story begins. Will they be able to stand up for their love and fight for one anot

What a great debut novel by Leslie Pike! I love finding new authors and new stories! The Trouble With Eden accomplishes both of those things for me. This was a love story with grown-ups. Both Bliss and Steven know who they are, what they are looking for and how they think they want their lives to play out. When they meet it is definitely an instant attraction, but after only a few hours spent together it is apparent that they know their meeting is so much more. I liked that they seemed real with ...more

There was nothing I didn't love about this debut novel by Leslie Pike.

The heroine, real estate professional Bliss has worked hard to become the successful woman she is. An early, failed marriage taught her some hard lessons about love, and finding her own happiness. That said, she's mature enough to know what she wants from a relationship, and secure enough to hold out for it. Yes, she's picky when it comes to a long-term prospect, but she's game for a little fun.

The Trouble With Eden is the debut novel for screen writer turned novelist, Leslie Pike. She uses her unique experience to tell us the story of real-estate mogul turned aspiring screen writer, Bliss, and super sexy stuntman, Steve.
Bliss and Steve are both fun characters and it's entertaining to see how their case of insta-lust turns into a real relationship. The secondary cast plays a big role and everyone is very well written.
Ms. Pike did an excellent job of adding drama and conflict to the s

Bliss her name is perfect she is just that ... Bliss she is beautiful witty and brilliant and when she sees Steven well lust at first site. Steven he is sexy and polite! What I'm intrigued how this will escalate ? This romance starts hot and keeps going. I really enjoyed the story I read this in 1 day because I HAD to know what was happening next. 4.5 Stars. This was a wonderful debut novel by Leslie Pike! Bliss is an independent woman that knows what she wants and what she deserves. Steven is a hot stuntman and he knows he wants Bliss. Throw in a gorgeous Irish ex-husband and a complete bitch and this is one roller coaster romance. It is worth the anxiety though!! It did take me a little bit to be completely pulled into this book, but when it happened I couldn't put it down!

When encountering a new author, things can be tricky. You aren't sure whether their writing/style will mesh with your expectations. Leslie Pike's debut novel was a hit for me!

I really enjoyed reading a book about characters who are a little more mature. This worked well for be. Bliss was a realtor, while Steven was a stuntman and new to the area. They fall for each other pretty quickly, despite Bliss being hesitant since her divorce and Steven not looking for a commitment. The secondary characte

Bliss Novak is a well-established Real Estate professional and Steven French has become a well-respected Stuntman. They experience an exhilarating chemistry when they meet and instantly know that this is something special, causing their relationship to take flight.

Bliss is beautiful, both inside and out and Steven can see that. He is both sensitive and manly and Bliss is attracted to his strength. Their connection is explosive and they both know exactly what they want. They are confident and use

This story was well written and the topic was explored in a fresh new light.

I loved how the secondary characters brought an added dimension to the two main characters in the story. They were not throwaways that were there to fill the story.

The art of being a stuntman, a worker in the industry was so believable it was like I was getting a peak into a world I will never have he pleasure of observing for myself.

Bliss was so adorable, I just wanted to give her a hug and help her when things

This is a wonderful debut novel by Leslie Pike. I'm a firm believer that I enjoy a book more when I know the author is a nice person. Leslie is nice, funny and sweet. She has a unique writing style, which was refreshing and highly enjoyable. Steven, a sexy, hot stuntman meets Bliss and instantly wants her. He can see that she's beautiful, but after 2 mins of speaking with her and watching her defend a young girl, he knows that her insides match her outsides. They begin a fast moving affair and t ...more

What a great debut book! I was instantly drawn in by Bliss and Steven. They burned hot right from the get go. I liked how the author moved the story along, but still gave us good details. I also liked the twist of the story. I thought about half way through, what else could happen and shouldn't it be ending soon? I didn't see the twist coming and loved it. I love when a story can surprise me, since I can usually peg it from the beginning.

These characters were so fun to get to know and what a uni

When I was asked to read this arc I was a little nervous as this was Leslie's first book and you never know what a new authors writing style is like, but I have to say she nailed it.

Bliss and Stevens eyes met over a pool of water and the connection was instant, their chemistry was hot hot hot and their story was perfect, too perfect for this to be a book so you know something is going to rock the boat, throw in a jealous ex lover and an explosive set and you have the drama.

When I come across a new author, I am always worried that I wont enjoy the book. That is not the case with this author, it was so good. The characters were a bit older than a lot of the romance books that are out anymore, but that is what I loved about it. It kept me hooked from the moment I started to read it and I finished it in one day. There was a real sense of family between all of the characters in and it was a great read!! Leslie Pike has given us a sweet and sometimes intense romance for the mature reader. The Trouble with Eden is the first in the Paradise series featuring Steven French and Bliss Novak. Each are in their late 30s and have a chance meeting at the gym. They know what they want, each other. So begins a hot, passionate romance. Some drama and angst move the story along. Secondary characters are interesting and add to the story. Told in dual POV, read along as Steven and Bliss head towards th

A hot mess.

This book started out just enough to keep me reading, but the raunchy sex, drug use and the vacuous characters really turned me off. The plot was sadly predictable and in one instance the author forgot that her character's name was Finn, not Flynn. Seriously, I kid you not! The ridiculously extravagant Hollywood wedding scenes and the inaccuracy of a one day recuperation from back surgery should have been left out of the storyline altogether. In my opinion, this book was a hot mess an

Great debut novel. It was a nice change reading a story about an older couple (30/40's). I love how these two characters, Bliss & Steven connected and you could feel the electricity between the two of them. Of course, there has to be a "snake" and her name would be Caprice. Leslie did a great job with her characters personality. If you are looking for a great story with a lot of passion, sex, and humor..this book is for you! Great job Leslie and congratulations on your debut novel

I had the pleasure of being a Beta reader for this 1st time author and let me tell you, I loved the story! It's different from most of the books out there because the characters are older and more mature. I loved the camaraderie between Bliss and Steven and Jack and the whole crew! I honestly cannot wait to read her next book and see what she has in store for us!!!

There has never been a more engaging book initiation than Leslie's fantastic anti-bully scene at the beginning of this book. Bliss is passionate right out of the gate. Felt it right down to my soul. I knew from that moment how intoxicating these characters and their story were going to be. Leslie has distinct insight that enables her to entertain us with movie making and stunt work detail and it is utterly refreshing. Bliss and Steven meet and decide to go out. Absolutely loved these characters and their story! When these two are brought together while Steven is in town filming a movie, their insta chemistry and connection was off the charts, Steven and Bliss are hot hot hot!!
Both characters are so strong and passionate, in life, their careers and aspirations, friendships, and their relationships. They prove this over again for the people they love, supporting each other, and when their relationship is tested. Written in dual POV it was great to be abl

Love at first sight 🥰😍🥰

Steven and Bliss hit it off from the first few hours and soon are in a forever kinda love. Their love blossoms every day until tragedy struck on the movie site. Steven pulls away from Bliss because he’s worried he’s never going to be the same but she refuses to let him go. They eventually get back on track and live happily ever after. The only reason I didn’t give the book a 5⭐, there’s too much of Jack & Nicki’s story embedded in the book. This wouldn’t be a problem i

I really enjoyed this book!!! Even from the first chapter when Steven got out of the pool. I was like OKKKKK....yeah I'm gonna love this book!!! I loved the characters and connected with them right away. I really liked how Bliss and Steven hit it off right away, and how she trusted him enough to do what they did within the first 4 hours of meeting.
Then the twist happened, and even throughout the whole book, I wanted to throat punch Caprice!! UGH!! She made me so angry!!!!

This is my first time reading Pike and she didn’t disappoint. It was a little insta-love which I absolutely love when it’s written well and The Trouble with Eden qualifies. Stephen and Bliss were a super cute couple, smoking hot and had great moments together. My only downside is when the drama happened and Bliss ran off like a pouting child instead of talking to Stephen. I know it’s a tool used in books to create a drama but I find myself sitting there grumbling about how idiots should just tal ...more

This was a fun, entertaining story! The characters were well developed and well-written. Steven and Bliss's road to romance was a lot different than most book couples, as well as the challenge they faced towards the end wasn't one I had ever seen in a book before. I also liked the detail and knowledge in regards to Steven's profession - very descriptive, which allowed you to picture what was going on. I also really enjoyed the primary secondary characters (Jack, Nikki, and Finn) and look forward ...more
