Continuing to weed my gardening books. This is one of two books I have on house plants, and I have two more in this series (on orchids and cacti & succulents). The photos in my edition of this book look a bit dated. The writing is also not very accessible for the average reader, and the common named of the plants aren’t included. It reads like a reference book for people who have studied horticulture, with a lot of technical terms scattered throughout the descriptions of the plants.

I think my other book on house plants, i>The House Plant Expert By Dr. D.G. Hessayon, is more accessible, and covers the information in this book. I don’t think I need to keep this one.

Verdict: rehome

Informative, but broadly about everything.
Need to look up more information is researching any real specifics.

Mini encyclopedia of indoor plants... with pictures and easy care and propagation (very important, I like to share plants with people) directions... a new area in life we're venturing into. We found out we were slowly killing a Schlumberger Truncata (Thanksgiving Cactus or crab cactus) right in our own back yard! What a horrible thing to do! Luckily, it is now inside with proper light and water and we're hoping it will be in full bloom soon... excited to see what other indoor plants we're killing outside in our backyard for us to save! :)
