Luego de la graciosa historia de su primer libro, David McKee vuelve con otra entrega de Elmer. Esta vez la historia comienza justo antes de arrancar el Día de Elmer, un día elegido para que todos los elefantes se puedan pintar de colores y parecerse a su curioso amigo. Pero Elmer otra vez esta aburrido y necesita pensar nuevas travesuras para realizar.

Another lovely Elmer board book. In this adventure Elmer paints himself grey to trick the other elephants and in a fun role reversal they paint themselves patchwork! A good fun read with colourful illustrations.

Everything is gearing up for the annual Elmer's Day Parade, where the other elephants paint themselves brightly and he paints himself grey. Being a bit of a scamp, he decides that things need to be livened up, so he plots and plans, then sets about putting a smile on everyone's faces.

I always laugh whenever I read this book. It makes you happy. Well the main character in this book is Elmer, he is very colorful unlike the other GREY elephants!

David McKee (born 2 January 1935) is a British writer and illustrator, chiefly of children's books and animations. He has used the pseudonym Violet Easton. He is frequently referenced as David (John) McKee.

For his contribution as a children's illustrator he was UK nominee for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award in 2006.
