Could use an update, a lot has happened since 2006 (when the book was published).
It's a safe read for the general audience, nothing too shocking or scandalous. The real movie fan will not really get much extra from this.

The Uncle John's Bathroom Reader series of fascinating trivia has never failed to hold my interest and keep me amused when I am attending to matters in the privy, and Uncle John's Bathroom Reader Plunges into Hollywood doesn't disappoint, and continues my unbroken list of satisfying bathroom reading material from the Bathroom Reader's Institute. Good show, BRI! (Note: ...Plunges into Hollywood was published in 2005. As much as I enjoy the body of work published by the BRI, I get all my BRI books from thrift stores and yard sales, so my reading of the corpus of their work is hit-or-miss.)

This book is full of interesting tidbits about Hollywood and movies in general, including Cary Grant, a dictionary of movie job titles, and lots of great quotes from Tinseltown's finest. It's an older book, so it would have been nice to have more up to date information on certain topics.

Bathroom Readers Plunges Into Hollywood is a fantastic book filled with fascinating information! Learn about your favorite movie stars as well as the classic ones of old. Learn tidbits about your favorite flicks and indulge in terrific trivia!! Go behind the scenes and witness the inner workings of tinsil town and see how movies are made. This book is a fantastic non fiction read however, it is a little bit long at 487 pages. If you aren't a fan of non fiction give this book a try for something brand new! With plenty of variety and lots of fun I fully recommend this book. It's definently a good read!

Now here's a book that I'm not done reading but I have no problem recommending it!

Although this particular issue is fairly outdated now, it's still a treasure trove of carefully curated witty trivia and stories about Hollywood. 🎬🎥

If you love movies, this will be nothing short of a pleasure to own. The short length of the chapters, easily segmented information, and easy to understand language means you can pick it up and let it go whenever you feel like it - easy.

Happy reading! 📙🤓
