This was an exceptional study guide in that it's primary purpose is to slow you down enough to understand and ponder the content of each chapter of Mere Christianity. The author of this guide is well-studied himself, but he lets C. S. Lewis shine through. Very helpful. [Note: There are several spelling and grammatical errors, but not enough to detract.]
I used this guide with 2 different men's groups, one where I was not the leader and one where I was.
Having read the book long ago, following the study guide with a bible study group opened it up to deep scrutiny of the meaning of all his intellectual analysis of Christianity. A remarkable book for a group study and for those seeking more intellectual understanding of the core issues of why to believe.
This guide was excellent. It allowed me to dig a little deeper into the material presented in "Mere Christianity". I read this in a group and this study guide helped stimulate discussion. The appendices were especially interesting and helpful.
I couldn’t wait to finish before I had to proclaim my frustration with the first 13 pages. What happened to the editor? The grammar and punctuation is appalling. The meat, so far, is on point. But, alas, the caused distraction upon grammatical or punctuation error after error is quite hard to keep swallowing. Here’s hoping that after the introduction it gets much better and the editor just delved into the chapters and skipped the foreword & introduction.
