For those of us who grew up in Baltimore in the 50's -70's, the sudden death victory over the NY Giants took on all the characteristics of an epic. Combining personal recollections by players and personnel involved with the game, along with excerpts from sportswriters who were on-hand, John Steadman's book covers the drama of the game, the feats of the athletes, and the game's importance to the NFL.
John Steadman, a renowned newspaperman, covered sports in Baltimore for over forty years. He was elected to the National Sportswriter's Hall of Fame, and he is the only man known to have attended every Baltimore Colts' game, from exhibition games to the Super Bowl.

A story of a wonderful game that should absolutely be told, but horribly written and with atrocious grammar. I mainly enjoyed the player reactions at the end and the straight up retelling of the game.
