I gave book 1 5 stars. It was good enough to get me to buy the other 2 without even reading the blurbs. But what slightly irritated me about book 1 (the dragging out of a love story to THREE novels) really irritated me about book 2.

Let me count the ways:

1) Don't like the cover. BAD cover! Not at all what Lucian, the freakin dragon prince and most powerful of the triplet should look like! Covers 1 and 3 are so much better. It's like this is a diff model, or just a bad side of his face. (and yet t

2 3/4 "All for Arabella" Stars!

Lucien was and idiot!!!!!! He got on my nerves! Arabella was definitely the mentally stronger of the two MC in this one. But I have to know how the story ends. Because beside from Lucien being a complete idiot, it was a good story. This will teach me to just jump into books without knowing anything. I got the first book free and didn't know it was just part one and that there would be cliffhangers. Anyway, I'm going on to book three and this BETTER give me some kin

Loving the fast paced action and hotness of this series. Oh and these Dragons are sexy as hell!!

Lucian must find true love and produce a child in order to complete the terms of a 10,000 year old treaty. But he and Arabella are overrun with Demons, Dragons and Fae trying to prevent this union. Lucian must also overcome past demons that threaten to destroy him from within.

Can't read the final installment fast enough!!

Second book of this series and I lost my interest. The H just kept running away from the h (usually what h's do) and it was a little too much for me. The first book was much better.

Alisa Woods’ HEART OF A DRAGON starts after book one, KISS OF A DRAGON, left off. Dragon shifter Lucian Smoke is fighting his urge to claim Arabella Sharp as his mate for fear of losing her. However, if he doesn’t claim a mate soon and have a dragonling, he will be overcome by the wyvern. This contemporary PNR takes place in Washington State and is suitable for adult audiences.

I like Lucian. He has a good heart. He is afraid to put Arabella in danger because he loves her. I was disappointed with

The continuation was ok too. Again the alpha male still thinks he knows what's best for everyone. Glad his brothers and friends didn't take lightly to it and saved him. Lots of hot sex.

Again it was bad it wasn't great it was ok
This is the second story in this engaging, hot and fiery, paranormal fairytale romance. In it the heir to the House of Smoke dragon throne is Lucian and he’s dying. To stay alive and fulfil the terms of the treaty which keeps humans safe from the Immortal Dark Fae he needs to find his mate and have a dragonling with her. He actually met and rescued her, Arabella Sharp, in Book One of the series, Kiss of a Dragon, but he is determine to resist the temptation to make her his because he loves her a ...more
Booo my good luck streak ends at 1 book. The writing was still good and the plot interesting but the characters and therefore romance crashed and burned for me in this one. Namely Lucian gets a stick up his butt about not being a true mate to Arabella because he doesnt want to risk her death. That I get but thinking cheating was an acceptable alternative was not ok with me. He sticks his hands down another woman's pants, fondles her, then runs straight back to h because he "loves"ecause her too ...more

Didn’t do the first book any favors...

The ridiculousness continues with Lucien and Arabella and the utterly stupid reason they aren’t mating. For someone as long-lived as Lucien, this story is so far-fetched it insults the reader’s intelligence to read about his juvenile behavior. Doom the world or doom the woman? As a supposed leader there really should be no question and it definitely shouldn’t take 243 pages to make a decision. Mercifully one last book to go in this torrid tale.

Well this book sucked! Ruined the first book and the story. Made the heroine a doormat. Hero was a total douche trying out other women (going pretty far if not actual sex) to try to forget Arabella. Absoletly HATED this book!!!!

The Hero was too much of a wuss for me. The heroine had more balls than he did.

Heart Of A dragon is Not as good as Kiss of a Dragon bk.1 in the Fallen Immortals series.

I would call this part 2 of a 3 part story. The story opens with Lucian walking or flying away from Arabella after she declares her undying love for him. She lets him know she wants him to seal her with his mating bond so she can carry his dragonling baby!! Yeah!! Yeah!! I know its sounds out there but the stories are pretty good if you like Fantasy Romance. Now its Lucian's turn to run away from the relatio

Although I enjoyed the continuation of Lucian and Arabella's story, this one didn't quite live up to the first installment. I am, however, fully invested in these characters and the outcome, so I'll be listening to the rest of the series. Arden and Mitchell continue to be a favorite narrating duo for me.

Heart of a Dragon picks up where Kiss of a Dragon left off. Lucian and Arabella both being stubborn but to opposite ends.

I have to say that I admired Arabella's tenacity. She's made her d

Alisa Woods is a gifted writer and she rocked her second book in her Fallen Immortals Series, “Heart of a Dragon.” This book is full of Dark Faeries, Dark Dragons, kidnapping, demons, and SEXXXX! Lucian is the Dragon Prince of the House of Smoke and he is dying. If he doesn’t spawn a dragonling soon he will turn into a Wyvern and will have to be put down because it will mean the end of his human half. It is hard for a human female to survive the sealing and carry a dragonling, an

I feel I prefer Kiss of a Dragon simply because more happens within it. Lucian and Arabella’s relationship kind of stalls in its sequel. Whenever they’re together, they’re literally just having sex. That is literally all they do. Outside of that, Lucian busies himself by running away and acting the martyr. I don’t even think they have dinner together. Arabella does more ‘couple’ stuff with Lucian’s brother, Leonidas, than she does with him. Their relationship seems completely built upon a founda ...more

Does True Love Conquer All?

Ms. Woods refers to her series as a “paranormal fairytale romance” and I believe that fairytale and romance are indeed good keywords. Like all good fairytales there is a smoking hot prince, (in fact quite a few princes) in search of his princess. Of course , his princess does not seem to be a princess at first, just an ordinary human female trying to stay alive in the city of Seattle. Also like most fairytales there is magic, a quest to save the world, fairies good and

While this wasn’t nearly as good as the first book, I still enjoyed it. It was very tortured and frustrating, for sure. I noticed quite a few typos within the book as well that should have been caught in the editing stage of things. It was very hot, very sexy, and not as introspective, though we do learn more things on the backstory of the tragic event in Lucian’s life. I liked it, but it wasn’t mind blowing.

I also could tell the staging of the series by the end of this book. The first one

Spoilers in this review for books 1 and 2!

The moment I have been waiting for has come. Arabella has her hands full with Lucian, but she's a good mate for the broken--still sexy--dragon. Their journey hasn't ended yet, and Arabella really has her work cut out for her with this dragon who would die and put the whole world in danger rather than endanger her life by mating with her and putting a dragonling inside of her like she wants. Stubborn man indeed. How can he say no to that? He's a bit frust
Kylo Ren meets Dog the bounty hunter...for romance?

Much like the first book in this series, the pacing was good, the action was fun, and the romance was hot. Unlike the first book, the main female lead showed her "Dog the bounty hunter" side and the main male lead went a bit Kylo Ren on us. I mean, I suppose it was nice to watch the woman pursue for a whilr...but seriously, the moody brooding really killed the mood.

In addition, can we stop the trend of romantic movies and books taking successful

okay the story picks up where it leaves off in the first book. Lucian is fighting being with Arabella because he wants to protect her from possibly losing her life like the last love of his life Cara. Well Lucian is on the brink of losing himself and tries multiple times through out the book to push her away or run away. He began to piss me off by eventually trying to find someone else because honestly how many times does Arabella have to say she loves him; poor Arabella she's constantly man han ...more

This was a fun read, but not as good as the first book in this series. In the second installment of Lucian and Arabella’s story, we witness a lot of wasted time during which Lucian denies his feelings for Arabella and pushes her away out of fear. I really didn’t like the scene where he used his old dating app to find women to hook up with. Cheating is not ok! It doesn’t matter that he didn’t go all the way. He went far enough for me to call him a cheater.

A new enemy is introduced. In Book 1, th

As good as the first! Read it in one day and absolutely loved it!
Can't get enough of Lucian and Arabella, as well as his brothers Leksander and Leonidas.
This is such a good series and am moving onto book 3 straight away!!

Lucian and Arabella's journey to sealing their mating isn't easy, a lot of obstacles are in their way. The biggest being Lucian not believing he should mate with Arabella as he believes it will lead to her demise much like his previous mate. And then there's the evil Prince Zeph

The second instalment of Lucian and Arabella they can’t fight there attraction any longer but he still can’t bring himself to mate with her because the risk of losing her is too high. But when a vengeful Fae trying to plant doubts tries to break them apart there is more than just a one sided attempt to stay together because if there is any doubts then Arabella will die.

Good storyline but...

The story is progressing along fantastically, with plenty of action and suspense and love.

So why does the author feel she needs to pepper so many F bombs (as well as s*** and a**hole) everywhere?! And sex scenes take up a lot of the pages. Even her characters refer to it as "making love, " so let's leave them their privacy.

Contains far too many sex scenes and swear words, plus abduction, attempted suicide, and threatened rape. Because of the sex and swearing (plus some typo

Wow loving this series, this second book cemented both Lucien’s and Arabella feelings. I won’t go into spoiler details but there is so much angst, Lucien’s feelings are so hard to take, his despair over what he needs to do over what he feels is so heartbreaking but has he found that one woman who will see through his heartbreak and love him truly???
Great story, plot, writing, some small grammatical errors but nothing worrisome. Amazing love scenes, some hot sex, lots of angst, great backstory a
Lucian and Arabella's new relationship is complicated by Dragon rules and a dark treaty with deadly consequences. Also, as Lucian becomes more attracted to Arabella, he can't help becoming more anxious remembering the disastrous results of bonding with his first mate, Cara. This fast paced narrative stirs the reader's emotions and touches your heart. This is a wonderful story filled to the brim with intrigue, collusion, and anxiety but, once you get to know the characters, you won't want to put ...more
