Although in dire need of a severe update (Pokemon Go now has four full regions of Pokemon for you to find and at the time of printing this book, not even all the Pokemon from the first region were released) this is still useful for understanding the core basics of the game and its origins (but be prepared for some of the tactical advice like the handling of gyms, to also be out of date as the game has evolved.)

A good starter guide. More of a Pokemon encyclopedia, and not really a story book.

It's a little outdated but still fun, and has some good info! my husband's family knows how much my husband and I love Pokemon and that I play Pokemon Go all the time! So we were showered with Pokemon gifts from two of his brothers and one got us each this book and I love it glad they are supporting my Pokemon addiction

Out of date, consists of just the different Pokémon, I found nothing in the book to further my advancement in the game

I’m new to Pokémon Go and finding this book at the dollar store was an amazing find. It actually helped me a lot as a new player.

It seems weird to write a review for this book when the Pokemon Go craze has died down considerably from when it was first released last summer.

This unofficial guide offers some awesome tricks and tips for playing the game, a lot of which I didn't know. My favorite section was probably the one detailing how to conquer, own and run the gyms, as well as learning double team strategies.

A great resource for seasoned pokemon trainers and newbies alike.

A bit of fun. Obviously not literary fiction or even very useful but it does what it says on the cover.
