A quick and entertaining suspenseful romance!

Someone to Love is the second story in The Heavenly Christmas series by Patrice Wilton. This is another unique story with a touch of holiday and a building romance. The characters are ones that have their flaws, which makes them realistic and relatable. I thought Patrice did an outstanding job with this story. It grabbed my attention from the very beginning; I didn’t want to put the book down. This is another story that will give you all the good

I really enjoyed this second book in the Heavenly series; this one is the story of Allison Cornwall (Nick’s waitress from book 1) and Police Chief Ian Brown. It’s a thrilling tale of a crazy stalker, a girl in hiding and a man that’s determined to protect her. I loved how the author and narrator were able to get you emotionally involved with the characters; you feel their fear, attraction and apprehension and I loved the chemistry created between Allie and Ian. The narrator once again did an ...more

Someone to Love, written by Patrice Wilton, is book 2 of A Heavenly Christmas series. It’s a holiday tale with spicy romance and a stalker mystery. The main characters from the first book of the series are secondary characters in this story. If you enjoy Hallmark movies during the Christmas season (like I do) then you’ll enjoy this book.

Allison (Ally) Cornwall has been on the run, hiding from a man in her past, and settles, for the time being, anyway, in Heaven Pennsylvania. When a creepy

In my opinion, the narration of this book was better than the first book. The story had me intrigued, especially with the suspense of the stalker and the growing love story between Allison and Ian. The narrator provided adequate character distinction and the narration flowed smoothly. The sound quality was smooth and the silences between the chapters seemed shorter in this book. Even though the suspense was building in the story, the narrator maintained the same speed. A great listen for a long ...more

Something to be said about that coming home feeling that Patrice Wilton gives me as I listen to her books. This is book 2 in the Heavenly Christmas series and is the story of Ian and Ally. Ally's running from her past, and it appears that her past has found her in Heaven. As her stalker begins to terrorize her, the chief of police takes a special interest in her. Ian and Ally are wonderful together, though they do have their ups and downs. With insecurities of his own, Ian has difficulty ...more

I love the whole premise for this story! I love the added suspense and mystery of a creepy stalker on the loose! I didn't read the first book, which wasn't a problem for me, I could follow the story just fine. The previous couple from the first book was in this book, so you may want to read their story first, but it isn't necessary. I really enjoyed the majority of this story, and the romance was sweet and hot! I also love that the author continued the story longer than usual, but I do think a ...more

This is the second book in a Christmas collection, and it turns out to feature the same town and townsfolk as those introduced in Heavenly Christmas. Of the two principal characters in this book, one was peripheral in the first book, and one is new in town. The main characters in Heavenly return as townsfolk in Someone to Love and I rather liked the sense of familiarity. Especially in a short novel, the device allows more development of the central characters without leaving the reader in ...more

SOMEONE TO LOVE is the second book in the Heavenly Christmas series. While it does stand on its own, there is enough reference to the first story that I believe you will prefer to have read it first.

Do you want to know what it feels like to be a woman on the run from a stalker? Ally has spent five years hiding in plain sight, but never able to really be herself or to pursue her dreams all because of “him.” Heaven, PA is as close to peace as she has found, but she is always on guard.

I loved this

I received a copy from the author for an honest and unbiased review.

The author is new to me and I love her work! It has all the usual parts of a romance novel, the guy, the girl, their challenges and then the HEA. There are several ways the story COULD go and you aren’t really sure which path it will take. It’s labeled a holiday story but it really doesn’t center around the holidays all that much and for that, I am grateful. Most of those are way too predictable. In this book, you never know for

Patrice Wilton does it again! This book is great! You get humor, steamy romance, and a little suspense. She has a way of grabbing your attention and the rest of the world just fades away.

"Someone to Love" by Patrice Wilton is book number two in the " Heavenly Christmas" series. The book can be read as a standalone. This is Allison Cornwall (Ally) and Ian Brown's story.

Ally has been on the run, hiding from an ex-boyfriend. She has changed her name and has hidden out in Heaven, PA. Ally really

Excellent contemporary romance that takes place close to the holidays. Ian was a big city detective until he found out his wife was cheating on him with he partner who was recently killed. Not long after his divorce he took the position of Chief of Police in Heaven. Ally moved to Heaven about 18 months ago and loves it. Then a psycho stalker she's been running and hiding from for several years finds her. She turns to Ian for help and they quickly develop a relationship. Tragedy strikes and the ...more

The author gifted me this book for an honest review.

I connected with this book almost immediately since the book is set in a fictional town about 20 miles from my home and the hero, Ian, is in law enforcement as are most of the male members of my family. Allison, the heroine, has been running and hiding from a stalker since she was forced to quit college to get away from him. Ally walks out of her leased cabin in Heaven, PA and ends up kicking a gutted skunk that had been left on her porch. She

I bought the book “Someone to Love” written by Patrice Wilton and took it on holidays with me because I knew it would keep me enthralled during the lengthy drive. And I was right. The story of Allison Cornwall and Police Chief Ian Brown was a most satisfying read that kept me glued to the pages over many miles. This author knows how to draw your interest and get you emotionally involved with her characters and I found myself totally rooting for these two love-struck people right up to the ...more

The Book Junkie Reads . . .
We first meet Allison in the first installment of Heavenly Christmas. Now we get her story and her journey through much. And we get to see a new character in Ian the new sheriff from the big city. This sexy older man gets to protect the body of one sexy, sweet young thang. There was a clash of the two but this was a sweet romance that happen to be around a heavenly holiday.

Narration did not add to or take away from this story. I just was not impressed with the narration.

Simply sweet

A beautiful story with a small amount of suspense, the town sounds to good the true. You will read about true friendships, insecurities, and a new relationship. A minor complaints speed just kinda appears but is forgotten a lot.

Read if you like small town romance

I enjoyed this suspenseful, Christmas romance. I've given it a 4.5* rating. This is the second book in this little series and I love how characters from the first story are woven into the second. Can hardly wait to read the next book, "Kiss Me Santa" to read more about this little town community. It certainly had the suspense, the romance, with a little humor mixed in.

I read the first book in this series, and I was excited to learn that this was Ally's story! Ally's stalker has found her again. The police chief, Ian, is determined to protect her. But can he? I loved their chemistry together. This was definitely an interesting story, and I highly recommend it!

This is a really sweet series! I love the small town setting and all of the wonderful townspeople. Romance is good, sex is hot but not overt, mystery is good but not overly nail biting. A really nice place to spend an afternoon!

Book 2 in the "A Heavenly Christmas" series. Here we are back in the town of Heaven, population less than 1000 and about to meet two individuals who could use some Christmas magic. I liked the plot of this story, it was a pretty unusual subject matter for a Christmas story and budding romance but it did fit the personalities of the main characters. They both were very realistic and human which means they came with flaws. Allie (Nick's waitress from book 1) is on the run from an ex-boyfriend ...more
I like, the characters, the town, and the dialogue. What I don’t care for is the schizophrenia going on in Ally, the heroine’s mind. Does she like and want to be with police chief Ian Brown? It’s like the author can’t make up her own mind. I even found one page where she transitions back and forth between all 3 possibilities: emphatic ‘yes’, emphatic ‘no’, incredibly unbelievable I’m not sure. Does *he* really want me? Same three answers. Mix both questions and the answers together over and ...more
