Esther E. Schmidt is a new author to me, but I have been hearing great things about her books, so I figured I give one a go.
"Do I need to tie you down?” I growl. Her breath catches. Fuck, she’s thinking about it. “Mmmmaybe.” She moans."
This is Roan and Broke's story. Roan is in the hospital after being beat up by a Russian mob asshole. Broke is VP of BROKE DEEDS and heads to the hospital to look after her until her sister Mila and her husband can get there. One look is all it takes and both their lives will never be the same...
I enjoyed this one. This author has a very readable way of writing that draws you into the story, and keeps you hooked right until the end. I thought both characters were great, but Roan outshone the hero in this one for me. She was just an open book, laid all her cards on the table for Broke and just never backed down. Broke on the other hand annoyed me at times. He had something horrific happen to him in his past, so I tried to cut him some slack. Alas, sometimes his behavior gave me whiplash. He was your typical "caveman - alpha - she's mine" right from the start, but some of his other actions had me frustrated and wondering if he is EVER going to stop hiding from her. That said, it was just a minor annoyance. This also had a plethora of excellent side characters that I am looking forward to reading about. Especially Grams, she was a hoot.
Where this lost a star for me, and this is ALL about my personal issues. I LOATHE the endearment "LITTLE MOUSE" I HATE it with the intensity of a 1000000 white hot burning suns. Everytime Broke called Roan that I wanted to punch someone. I also would have liked Broke's background pinned down a TINY bit more. I mean he is VP of Broke Deeds, and apparently richer than Donald Trump, and owns a casino in Vegas AND a barista, ya, a barista. That came a little out of left field. *lol* Maybe his background is explained more in book one??
That aside this gets the two thumbs up from yours truly...

This book had a great story and I enjoyed every minute of it. This is a totally safe book being that they are both virgins and no ow or OM drama here at all. Except for the drama in the hero or heroine's head that is.
Enjoyable and sweet.
I loved both the hero and the heroine.
Now why not the 5 stars. Well folk you may not know this but I need some closure in my book to make it right.
An epilogue was needed even if the drama continues here. They could have made it 5 years later or 10 years later.
Questions like: did they adopt or how did they make it work for them, needed to be addressed for me to give it 5 stars.
I wanted more so with that 4 stars.
Also, it left with the next book cliffhanger!?
Nope, so not cool here.

Wow...I just devoured another book by Esther E Schmidt! I don't know where this author has been hiding but I freaking love her.
Broke is Deeds brother and now the VP of the Broke Deeds MC. He is sent to the hospital to watch over Roan, the sister of a member's old lady after she was beaten. One look at Roan in the hospital bed and Broke is a goner.
I absolutely loved Broke. Again, we have the perfect example of that OTT possessive alpha hero I love. His story is heartbreaking and I was so happy he got something for himself.
While I loved Broke, Roan actually stole the show for me. She was the perfect heroine. She was strong and smart but kind of shy too. But her biggest selling point to me was how she accepted Broke scars and all. She never once wavered or shied away from him. I freaking ADORED her.
And while these two get a HFN, it ends in a freaking story cliffhanger!! I was screaming at my iPad NOOOOOO....Ms Schmidt, I NEED DEPAY'S STORY NOWWWWWWWW. Please....

Another awesome reread of one of my favorite authors. God I wanted to reach in this book and hug Broke.
Another 5++ star read from this author. I am so loving these books. They are perfect for me. Alpha badass with a sweet side? Yep. Badass chick that's sweet? Yep. Insta love? Yep. Good storyline? Yep. You get the picture. These books have everything I love. Well except this one has a cliffy and those make me a bit crazy. It's not a relationship cliffy though so I can deal.
Roan/Mouse is the sister of an ol' lady. She gets hurt and Broke is sent to check on her. The second they see each other the sparks fly. Roan is super smart and from her training as a forensic psychologist, she can read people very easily. She is so awesome with how she handles Broke's insecurities that you can't help but love her.
Broke thinks he's well, broke. He was attacked many years ago and has some issues. He puts on a brave face for the world but he feels like less than a man. I absolutely love his character and was cheering for him since the first book. He treats Roan with respect, love, and admiration. He too like his brother treats his ol' lady as an equal.
The secondary characters are great, especially Grams. I adore that woman. I CANNOT WAIT FOR DEPAY'S STORY!!! I hope the author writes fast lol. I will read everything this author puts out there.

Better than I expected; besides, no club whores, and no ex dramas, what a bouns in MC novels.
What H underwent when he was 16 was so horrible, fortunately, he didn't let his past stop him from claiming h. Yep, he was totally possessive of her since he met her the first time.
h was hilarious when she tried not to curse, and the way her outburst when she was mad.
Just wish there's an epilogue incuding babies or sth sweet.

Yet another great read from this series. I loved Broke and Roan. This author has been giving me all of my favorite things in spades!
Broke has been living with emotional and physical scars since an attack at 16. He's a virgin and believes he will always remain that way.
Roan is the sister of one of the club members old lady. She is attacked and Broke goes to her side, not knowing that she will be the one to change his life forever.
-dirty talking alpha
-funny and sweet heroine
-hot sex scenes
-zero ow/om drama and no cheating
-no pushing away
-great secondary characters that I adore even more with every book
-HFN ending- (I need an epilogue-the lack of epilogues does NOT work for me)
I hate cliffhangers and these books have been ending with one. Although they aren't cliffies for the H/h of this story, it's a set up for the next story. Which in this case is Depay. I've loved him in both Deed's and Broke's story. I just feel like the story ends without closure for the couple and we have no idea when the next book is out. This would have been a 5 star read for me otherwise!

Broken Deeds MC series is getting better and better with each new addition!
This was Broke and Roan's story where the hero meets the heroine in the hospital of all places when she was attacked by a Russian MMA fighter, Yushin! Yes that is the same fighter who Broke was scheduled to fight in the first book. Purely a coincidence not doubt but the plot was cleverly laid out and fast paced from there--- loved it! Forensic Psychiatrist, Roan offered her 'weight in gold' in this gripping romantic suspense due to her loyalty to the Broke and his MC as well as her love for her profession. She came off as somewhat shy in the first book but in her story with Broke, she was smart, observant, cunning and very loving where need be. What she did to help DePay win custody of his child, Hadley was as noteworthy as what Lynn aka Hotlips aka Lips did in book one!
*SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!* SECRETS REVEALED: The name of the MC is Broken Deeds after their father, Dog's sons--- Deeds and Broken! Deeds' story was told in book one and Broken was actually Broke (he changed his name after that terrible accident). What happened to Broke when he was 16 years old was one of the most heart wrenching stories I've read to date in any MC story but how accepting Roan was once she heard it from his brother, Deeds... well it gutted me! It would have been hard for Broke to tell sweet Roan this because he as felt useless until his body's reaction to Roan that first day in the Hospital
As with Deeds and Lynne's story, the memorable secondary characters are what made me turn the pages of "Broken" so rapidly. Of course you have the Prez back with his ol' lady, Lynn and DePay, Mila, Puk, Chopper and Grams but Lochlan and Ramrod were new stellar characters added with stellar conversations given in this story for strong, comedic relief and even a few side-eye rolls!
"Lochlan’s voice rips our lips apart. “Beer, coffee, surveillance, case to solve, stealing money, step away from each other or go fuck and meet us in our room in an hour.”"
I look forward in reading the next story in this series which is DePay's story.
“One life, one chance. That’s us, Broke. That’s all we need.” 'The ink once served as my daily reminder, giving me strength to pull through. Now, it speaks for the future. I only need one, and that’s her.'
BTW... This is not a standalone so read the series in order or you will miss the significance of how Broken Deeds MC rolls in their community! Also, I am even noticing that Schmidt's other MC stories have tie-in as with the case of Zack's relationship with Deeds' MC!

Really 3.5 stars.
I liked this book. Alpha + insta-love + motorcycle club... I mean, c'mon. However, I didn't read the first book and it had been forever since I read Zack so I felt like I was missing out of things. I don't do well with series (I get bored or never finish them) and appreciate a true standalone. This was not (truly) and that's on me. It did take away a little of my enjoyment of the book.
I also don't know if this author is for me. Nothing against her or her work, just something.. ya know?

It wasn't bad and the hero was lovely. The story just lacked a certain something for me. I don't know... I didn't get that pull of emotions that I like to feel. A sweet story though.

I love virgin heroes.
This one was so much better than the first, as far as the wording goes. I dislike wussy female characters, but if they were all strong, it would get tiring. So we need the "mousy" ones to keep it interesting.
Extra star for no mention of the skin rape bit that killed the first book for me.
I'm looking forward to Ford's book.

Growing up in a MC is a double edged sword. On one hand you have the family, they will always have your back - NO MATTER WHAT. On the other hand, the life bleeds danger. It doesn't matter who, what, when or where.
Stepping into the shoes of a fallen brother, Broke takes on the VP role just under his blood brother Deeds. Continuing on his life path, Broke has pushed his past away his past, while still coming to terms with it. When a not-so-meek little mouse enters the picture everything changes.
Roan is smart, beautiful and the epitome of a "good" girl. She has busted her butt to get where she is. Unfortunately her life's direction has put her right in the middle of harms way and in the hospital.
I'd love to tell you more, but I think it's best if I leave you with this...

Love love loved this book. This is Broke and Roan's story. it was intense emotional sexy and at times I found myself laughing at the back and fourth banter between the characters.
Broke is hot sexy alpha Biker/MMA Fighter who didn't exactly have it easy when growing up which has left him with some both mentally and physically scars.
Roan where do I start she is sweet innocent independent and can be stubborn as hell when she needs to be.
When these two meet its not under the best circumstances but the attraction and connection between them can't be denied but that's not to say it's all plain sailing for them. I'm not going to go into to much details about Broke and Roan's story it's a journey you need to take with them for yourself. What I will say is Esther writes some of the most addictive books seriously once you start them you can't put them down she has a way of hooking you from the first page.
Oh and can I just say Esther is evil well not really but she's killing me with the ending of each of her books, I'm still having a what the ever loving hell moment from the ending of this book.
I highly recommend if you haven't read anything from this author you check her out you won't regret it.

This is Broke and Roan’s story. I liked broke when he was in Deeds book and after reading his story he has definitely stepped up. Roan is an awesome character – I really like her. I have to admit that I liked her even more after Depay’s court case. In fact, that scene was my favourite of the whole book. Deeds is one of my most re read books and I cannot wait to add broke to that favourite re read’s list.
Broke is overprotective and an alpha. I liked the softer side to him and how he tried to overcome his insecurities. I enjoyed the love he had for Roan.
Roan is a smart independent woman. She loves her job and she loves to help people. Not only is she kind and caring, she is fiercely loyal. I loved how she accepted Broke straight away and tried to rid him of his insecurities. After all, in Roans eyes, Broke is perfect.
The fact that Roan helped Depay when she barely knew him, shown what a awesome woman she is.
I seriously need Depay’s book now! That ended left me on the edge of my seat, begging for more.
One last thing I have to add: Mila really annoyed me with how she tried to control Roan’s relationships
Broke is overprotective and an alpha. I liked the softer side to him and how he tried to overcome his insecurities. I enjoyed the love he had for Roan.

I love this book. It got me hooked from the first page. Characters just clicked for me and I needed to know everything about them.
Roan is funny and light, with a soul of a fighter. Love her quirks. It for sure lightened up the story.
Broke is another story. Don't get me wrong, he was funny too, also intense, dominating, loyal and don't kill me Broke, ok?, sweet. All those characteristics made him perfect as human can be. But what I mean about him being different, it's that that Broke has some scars in his souls, that still was bleeding, that made him insecure.
Loved Broke and Roan together. When Broke and Roan meets, they brought explosion of connection, tender, sweet, emotional moments.
Another jackpot by Esther. She always knows what readers is hungry for and delivers it. Tough, lately Esther become cruel. Those freakn endings! LOL. They make your finger itchy to click on your eReader, hoping that other page will magically bring next book.

We met Broke in Deeds book and I really liked him. After reading Broke's book, the man owns my heart. From the first page I was absolutely hooked. The things that he went through tore my heart to shreds. After living through the hell he did, he still is a badass with a heart. I love his personality and how he is with Roan. Roan is such a sweetheart and I love her sassy self. She stirs something in Broke that he never thought would ever happen. I really don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil it, but know they are absolutely, positively perfect for each other!! Reading this book, I have gotten butterflies, cried and laughed. (which I have in every one of Esther's books.) Esther is one of my most cherished and favorite authors. Every one of her books has touched me and leaving me wanting more. I highly recommend this book. Heck I recommend all of her books. You so won't be disappointed. <3

Roan is a sweetheart which is exactly why her sister has kept her away from Broken Deeds MC, even though she herself married on of the members. When Roan is attacked though, VP Broke shows up to protect her. Broke falls for Roan, but because of his past he is not sure he can be the man she needs. Roan though sees Broke differently and is willing to take him anyway she can get him.
This was different than what I expected. Entertaining read, had a twist I did not see coming. Liked Broke but he is working out some residual issues that has him balking a bit where Roan is concerned. Roan was a delight, she had a bit of sass and could hold her own. Anxious for next book, looks to be fantastic.

I Loved Broke
After the first book in this series we now see Deeds' brother Broke as the club's VP. Broke has been through hell and back and has had to live with what happened to him all those years ago.
Roan has just been beaten and it's touch and go but Broke says he's Roan's husband so he can get in to see her. She is the sister to Mila who is an old lady in the club. Roan is such a sweetheart and now Broke wants her to come home with him so he can not only take care of her but protect her from her attacker.
This is a couple that brings a little sweetness to the dark dirty world of an MC. They have plenty of chemistry that's off the charts. This series has turned into a favorite of mine and I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

This is a heartbreaking story. A freak and cruel act puts Broke's life on hold, but he finds himself again when he goes to protect the life of one of his brothers' sister.
He's so alpha, and spends most of his time growling at his brothers, and anyone else who gets too close to Roan. It's freaking hot!

Wow this was amazing I couldn’t put it down devoured it in one go! I usually don’t like instalove or MC gang love stories but this one is made better by Broke’s insecurities and how Roan chooses to unapologetically accept him. He’s both alpha and a softie at the same time. Been a while since I read a romance and I don’t regret a second!! 🥵

There have been so many times that I get frustrated about blogging and it's issues, but then an author will reach out to me to read their stories, and I'm reminded why I started blogging in the first place, as I'm privileged enough to discover a new favorite. And that's what has happened here, however, she has earned her one way ticket to the list of author's trying to kill me with that ending! The character development is fantastic, with an easy to love, highly entertaining cast of secondaries. Flammable chemistry doesn't take long to EXPLODE into HIGH levels of SCORCHIN' HOT sexy scene goodness that is guaranteed to take out panties everywhere. Esther E. Schmidt's talented writing style flipped my dramatic girly girl emotions switch from the first page, and actually, it's now stuck, long after I finished. Her twists and turns around every corner, made for OMG moments that came out of left field. Between the emotions, sexy, and suspense, well placed humor had me dying laughing. But I have one complaint, that the story was TOO SHORT! I wanted MORE, and am perfectly willing to beg! I'm so very grateful this author reached out, because now I have a new favorite on the list, and absolutely CANNOT WAIT for more in this series! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I don't think I could explain to you how ecstatic I am that I found this wonderfully talented author! I have fallen in love with all her books that I have read. I have yet to come across one that I didn't love and with the way she is writing I don't think I have to worry about that happening anytime soon that's for sure. Esther knows how to give us a story and characters that will have you hooked and sucked in from the time you read the blurb. Forget about not actually getting addicted to the book once you open it.
I have been dying to get Broke's story since the first one. To find a MC man who is tough, alpha, dirty mouthed around the MC men and then can be so sweet and can blush about sex is one that I HAD to have. He has been through a traumatic event, one that has made him believe he'd never be able to be with anyone. Imagine his surprise when he find the one woman that can bring out things in him he never thought he'd feel. He knows immediately that he can't let her go and claims her right then. Now to not only convince her that they are meant to be but to keep her safe from whoever wants to harm her.
Roan has been busy with getting her degree and working all the time to pay off her student loans to actually have a life or to find a man. She is inexperienced and when Broke claims her she isn't sure how to react but he makes her feel things she never has before. Her sister has warned her away from men in the MC but she's always felt alone and she can't resist Broke and his charms, well to a point. Life is complicated though and she has someone that wants to hurt her. Broke insists on her staying with him but she is determined to stay with her sister even though she is drawn to Broke.
Will she be able to resist him or will she fall prey to his claims? Will she be able to help Broke with the issues he's dealing with or will he end up pushing her away despite his claim on her?
I highly recommend this Esther's books. I don't think you have to read Deeds in order to enjoy this book but I think that you would love it as well and get a better idea for all the characters.

This is the second book in this series and they should be read in order. This book focuses on Broke and Roan (mouse). Roan is attacked by a member of the Russian mob and her sister Mila calls the club to help because she is out of town. Broke heads to the hospital as soon as he hears Roan needs help. Broke has never meet Roan before but as soon as he sees her he knows that he wants her. He feels something he hasn’t felt for a very long time and he will do anything to have this little bit of hope she has unwittingly given him. Roan is confused when she wakes up in the hospital but then everything comes back. She is even more confused when the nurse mentions a husband and in walks Broke. She quickly learns that her sister sent him and he told the fib to be able to get in to see her. But, he doesn’t leave her side even when her sister gets there. He is hanging on to his second chance with both hands even if she isn’t as sure. They have an undeniable attraction but could they have anything else. Roan sister has always tried to keep her away from club life but know a member is by her side. Broke has his own issues but Roan seems to be the light at the end of a very long tunnel plus when he is around her he has the overwhelming urge to protect and claim her. So he does. I love this series and I can’t wait for the next book to come out. It was great getting to read about the other characters again as well. Broke and Deeds grams even plays a part in this book and her part is funny and cute at times. Broke and Roan’s relationship happens at lightning speed but it feels great and works for them. Roan is an interesting character. She is loyal, strong, and so much more. Broke is a total alpha male badass biker but he has been living with a darkness for a longtime. This book does end on a crazy cliffhanger and hopefully the next book will be about Depay and his girl. I love Esther and all her books. I am always excited for the next one to be released.

HOLY SH$T! I have read both books in The Areion Fury MC Series and now both of the books in The Broken Deeds MC Series and am proud to say that Esther has a huge fan in me! MC romance is one of my favorite genre in the Romance World! I have read ALOT of MC Romance books from ALOT of different authors but I have yet to find a newer MC Romance author out there like Esther. By the time she wrote her second novel she was writing 5 star reads, in my opinion. When I read her debut novel I could see so much potential there but there were just a few things that needed to be tweaked and Esther to the feedback from her readers and when her second book came out and I read it, I thought I was reading a book written by a veteran author! Same thing with the third book she wrote! Then I get Broke on my kindle and could not even bring myself to finish the book I was currently reading. I had to dive right in to Broke! I finished Broke awhile ago but I have been unable to even write the review until now. I had to let it all "marinate"! The twist that Esther laid on me in this book has left me completely stunned. It is something that I definitely would never have expected because it would have NEVER EVER even crossed my mind, but it did Esther's and she ran with it, and it is brilliant! It completely added just the amount of vulnerability to the character that really made the story for me. I can't wait to see what she pulls out of that brilliant, devious mind that she has! Thank you Esther, for sharing it with us!
