I really like the concept of this stories based around creepy stuff for midnight. The set of 13 tales was good but not as refined as those in the first installment. Of course you'll find all the horror elements inside you're waiting for: derelict haunted houses, an old beggar woman, a dead confederate soldier, the wax museum, the monster in the mountains... but somehow the author seemed to be a bit more under pressure here. Nevertheless an absolutely entertaining and terrifying collection of stories I can recommend to every horror fan, young or old. Has that 80s touch I can't get enough from.

فزت الرجل.. واشتد فزعه حين دلف قط اكبر منهما بحجم الكلب و بلون برتقالي وسال نفس السؤال
فاجاباه لننتظر ماكس
المرة الرابعة دخل قط أسود بحجم فهد وطرح نفس السؤال وكانت الإجابة نفسها

هنا أفاق الرجل من فزعه وقفز من النافذة المكسورة وهرب راكضا يصرخ.أخبرا ماكس أنني لا استطيع إنتظاره
ولكنه ومن يومها يخاف أن يخرج من بيته لأنه يعلم أن ماكس يترصده بالخارج
لخصت أقصوصة من القصص .لطيفة خفيفة ومشوقة . وكل اقصوصاتها لا تتجاوز 5صفحات وكلها تشويق وجمال

One of the scariest sets of stories I ever read as a kid. They weren't even all terrifying so much as they all just worked under my skin and I still think about them 15+ years later. I used to read it every Halloween. (updated review of individual stories to come, following a reread)

Wildly fun reading back over this book 30 years after first reading it in third or maybe fourth grade. Some of these stories have really stuck with me for years and years – like, Words of Warning and The Wax Museum.

All in all a pretty mild set of stories, but the last two were both ones that I’ve remembered since childhood and still gave a little tingle of my spine, reading them today: the Snake Charmer and the Snipe Hunt.

This was another re-read. Tailypo still creeps me out, but the other 12 short stories were like revisiting old friends. They're the kind of stories that let your imagination run wild in the best way possible.

I definitely liked the first book better but this had some really fun stories in it as well. My favorites were cemetery road, and a special treat.
This collection offers up the same creepy fun vibe of the first book and it would make a great addition to any childs horror collection
