Who knew that a prison break could advance your career?

When Stassi learns that she won’t be exiled from Branson Isle for returning from the past with slightly more than a kitschy souvenir, she is elated. When she learns that her boss is forming an elite team based on their performance in Paris, she is stunned.

After a month on Branson Isle, tasked with acclimating the syndi

Thankfully the angsty romantic uncertainty with the MC, Stassi, that was annoying me cleared up around the 20% mark, and I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Not quite as much as the first one, but still liked it and am now reading book three.

One thing I really like about Stassi is that she has a lot of empathy. Even when she was doubtful of wanting a relationship with the LI (though clearly attracted to him, and vice versa), she was able to put herself in his shoes, and snapped herself out of being

Stassi goes back to the future....

And it is glorious. Except when it isn't.

In this sequel to The Syndicate  (aka one of my favorite books last year) Stassi is back to the future, her present, only to be confronted by her past. Confused yet? Welcome to time travel.

This is a gorgeous and thrilling future, full of accessible tech used in fabulous ways, and we get to see Stassi take advantage of it. We also get a closer look at the life that could have been hers, in the less glamorous dystopian par

I have been waiting eagerly for this book to come out. Not only that, but the fact that book three is released only a number of days after this one made me a very happy reader.

This book is a bit different in that Stassi and her fellow runners don’t actually jump to a different time period in this one. Instead, she is thrown into something new with people she wouldn’t have dreamt of having involved. She discovers that her past is not so easy to leave behind as reminders from her life before come

So I took this book off my TBR because I'd preordered it last year and it said it was being pushed back to 2017. So I gave up on it and the suddenly find that it's out now?!! As is book 3? So I think I'll give them another chance. Maybe I'll get them through kindle unlimited next week. But the writing is just as good as I remember. Also it seems like what was the plot for book 2 (the a lady Jane Grey thing) is now the plot for book 3! I think this will work much better and I'm actually excited f ...more

Total guilty pleasure. Took a bit long to get into the story (first ~30-40% felt mainly like fun futuristic wish fulfillment) but enjoyed nonetheless.

I received an ARC copy of this book.
Love where this book ends! I am very intrigued to the answers Stassi and now Charles are looking for. They seem to get closer but then yet something else gets thrown into the mix and they get pulled a step back.
Stassi and her friends will be taking on a new running job and they get to play with new technology which they all love even Molly, Stassi's best friend who is also her roommate on the island.

The story continues where it left off in book 1. The story moves us along with Stassi's search for her birth parents, with her friends Molly and Gaige along to help, and the new addition of Charles. The world building continues with a look into current day New York and all of the peculiarities that exist outside of Branson and the work camps that Stassi was used to, and completely different from what Charles had known.

Stassi and team return to Branson with Charles, but it is not business as usua

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

This was a nice sequel to the Syndicate and while I liked it and there were some really fun scenes I just didn’t love it the way I did the first one. Mostly because I love the time travel aspect and as this one takes place in Stassi’s time there wasn’t any of that to enjoy. Sure the future where Stassi lives was interesting and imaginative BUT its a book about time travelling thieves so I want time travel! The other main gripe

Unlike The Syndicate, Atlic takes place in Stassi’s current time (our future), and I really enjoyed learning more about Stassi’s day-to-day life when she and her friends are not on a run as well as witnessing Charles’ acclimation to his new life.

In this installment, we get more clues regarding Stassi’s past, new and old villains of the bizarre variety (you are missing out on The Dollhouse if you do not buy this), very trippy scenes that will cause your imagination to go into overdrive, a little

More Questions then answers

First, I think I am supposed to tell you that I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. Thank you Sophie's!
Well, I was entertained. Though, not as entertained as I was reading The Syndicate. The story flowed nicely and we got a little more insight into the world. The world building through this series has been very slow and we have only been given details as they are needed, which is nice because then I don't get a "world building overload"!

Again, I enjoyed Sophie Davis’s next book (when have I not?). It’s creative, funny, and light. Oh, and the inventiveness of the technology was amazing!

I have to admit that I found the beginning boring. But once the plot picked up I was sucked in to Stassi’s story. Stassi’s future world was fleshed out a bit more, along with the not-so-plush underbelly of what could have been her life. All the little details that were added were amazing and sometimes slightly creepy (the Dollhouse, anyone?). And

Can't wait to see what's next!

Luckily I just got an Amazon.com alert recommending book 3 Legends Untold, thereby letting me know it was already available. A good thing, too, as Sophie's masterful ending makes me anxious to continue Stassi's story without delay. I have already downloaded it!
In some ways Atlic followed the pattern of most second books in three-book series and felt to be somewhat of a placeholder. None of my burning questions from book one were answered. What is Charles' secret? W

Great, fast read! Escape for a while in the futuristic, fantastical world of Stassi 2446-89 as she begins to uncover clues to her elusive ancestry. Love that we get a closer glimpse into her cryptic past while still enjoying the fun, entertaining adventure of yet another Syndicate (although present day) assignment. If you loved Timeswave #1 "The Syndicate," you will love the 2nd book as the characters continue to develop and evolve. Between Gaige's innuendo and cheap humor, Charles as he begins ...more

Finished "The Syyndicate" before this one was published. Preordered it with eager anticipation of its release. Finally, came out but it was well worth the wait. I absolutely could not put it down. Time travel stories have been one of the few areas of science fiction I enjoy reading. This series, and the "Missing" series by Margaret Peterson Haddix are, in my humble opinion, the absolute best. Who wouldn't love to travel throughout time, have great partners, and work for Cyrus. The best of all wo ...more

I really like this series and have waited for this second book Atlic to appear in Kindle Unlimited. Stassi and Charles get to spend more time together and the Quad is formed. Stassi , Charles, Gaige and Molly get to have a trial run in Manhattan in their own time. There are lots of gadgets and close calls but Stassi is successful. Stassi continues to try to solve the mystery of her necklace and Charle's watch with the help of her friends. The interplay between the charcters is great along with t ...more

Come to the future

Fun. Down to earth heroine, but a bit morally confused. The only criticism i have is the characters sarcasm and immature dialog. But wait, this crime syndicate is stocked with barely legal drinking age thieves. And smart ones at that. The premise for this series is delightful original. Capital original! Begin with the first and read on! No spoilers here, if you would like to go on an adventure with challenges and twist , here you are. Nothing is so simple for our characters. I

Super duper!

Sophie Davis just never lets you down! I'm hooked. After I read The Syndicate I couldn't wait for Atlic to be released and it truly felt like years went by as I often visited their website for news of the release and just as with The Syndicate, Atlic was a rapid, page turning, edge of my seat, couldn't put it down at 3 a.m. when my eyes are rolling in the back of my head super great book! Lol. Great job Sophie Davis for creating yet another great story. I recommend this series to any

Hmm, this book was a fun read, but I really missed the historical setting from the first book. While having more world building from Stassi's "real" time was interesting, I kept thinking as I was reading it: "get to the part about her parents and the mystery of the jewelry". I also didn't really feel the connection between Stassi and Charles, especially when compared to Stassi's connections with Molly and Gaige. I will be reading the 3rd book in the series, and hope that it will go back to a his ...more

I have had a hard time getting into this series and I have no idea why. I like the characters, and the thought of the story, but I feel like not a lot happens in this book. I also feel like poor Charles gets pushed to the back ground when I thought there would be more information about him since he did just end up in a whole new place. There are some events that caught my attention, but then it leveled back off to me struggling to finish. All in all, not a bad book but was left feeling a little ...more

I received and ARC for my honest review. I have enjoyed every Sophie book I've read and Atlic is no exception. Their writing style, plot and character developments enhance the storyline. I really enjoy Stassi's personality and liked learning a bit about her past. The budding romance between her an Charles is sweet, but she needs to stop resisting:) Their adventure was in her time, but, I would've preferred travel into the past. Nonetheless, I will be waiting for the next book.

Continues to hold my interest

I liked the first novel and enjoyed this one as well. I am intrigued by the winding tale Stassi and friends are following and look forward to Book 3 to see what happens next. My only concern is that it may drag on too long or be a never ending series. I like when things can wrap up and leave the reader with some closure with characters and a story. I'm sure I'll enjoy several more installments to come!

I loved the second instalment of The Syndicate. I love how the author has enabled the reader to be transported to another time zone. I enjoyed reading from the perspective of the future and I believe that the author has done a good job of detailing the specifics of this time zone.

Can't wait for the next adventure!

More mystery and intrigue

Love the story. The side project of trying to find out where and who she came from gets more and more interesting! Really fun to see Charles adapt to the future, and become part of the team. Now on to see what they learn next about the jewelry pieces and J. Jacobson, and where they are headed next to and to what time period.

Atlic Syndicate

The objective of the Atlic Syndicate is thievery in disguise. Steal historical artifacts and return them to "rightful" owners or just save and preserve them for the future generation. Especially since the world has went to help in a breadbasket after WWIII and the Epic War. So.....this book is better than the first one. Who doesn't love time travel?

Atlic is a great read. You'll learn all about the syndicates and Stassi's present time.I couldn't wait to read the next book in the series. Even though Stassi and her friends didn't travel through the vortex, I felt like I did since we got a lot more insight into Stassi's home time.

Highly recommended for fans of The Syndicate or time travel stories.

I couldn't wait to read the next book in this series. It was good to have time for more character and relationship development. I did enjoy the view of what life was like in Stassi's current time, but it wasn't as exciting as when they time travel.

I was very excited for this book. It started off a little slow for me but took off quickly and I was hooked. I love how they describe the future and all the new cool stuff. Just a fun read and I'm looking forward to reading the third. I'm very much enjoying this series!

"Sophie Davis" is the pseudonym for two best friends, roommates, and now writing partners. The pair met at Dickinson Law and instantly bonded over their love of great books and bad horror movies. After they graduated, when one longed for the ability to read minds so she wouldn't have to study for the bar exam, a Saga was born.
