It could be described as a romance mystery because Victoria is a shifter wolf and has had her memories stolen. She has years missing from her life and she doesn't understand why she remembers her professor who she was in love with. I liked this very much and gave it 5 stars so I would say go for it, it isn't a sappy romance so no worries. I think you might like it. Now I have to wait for my check so I can pick up the next one. This first one was free on Amazon.(less)

Okay so I'm a total sucker for romances with long-lost lovers finding their way back to each other. If amnesia and magic is involved I am SOLD! So I read the blurb of this book and was like YES! THIS IS WHAT I NEED IN MY LIFE!

Then I opened the book and started reading...

I couldn't make it through 2 chapters of the horrendous writing, the YA Fanfiction feel, and the gag-me-with-a-spoon girl-ness of the thing. Also, I have a serious problem with whoever this Stacy Claflin thinks she is putti

Victoria just graduated high school and is now at college…with no memory as to how she got there, who she is, who her family is, and just plain doesn’t know why she DOESN’T know. The only memory she has is of the past few days but nothing else. Her phone doesn’t have any phone numbers that would be of help, her computer has no emails stored, her roommates don’t even know anything about her, and all of her assets are frozen. All she knows is that she is surrounded by Jaguars; in name and in image ...more

This book was fantastic! I was sucked in from the very beginning. I liked the concept and the mystery surrounding the main plot. Then, there was the romance. Two hot guys? Yes, please. The author left it in such a way that I'm dying for the next book! Five glittery stars!
OMG!! This book was so awesome. I highly recommend this to the paranormal romance lovers.

Book Title: Lost Wolf
Author: Stacy Claflin

Introduction: This book was a requested book review. Everything I say is honest - I have no obligation to make this a fluffy/nice review. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Lost Wolf is the first novel in the Curse of the Moon series. It's a fantasy, paranormal, romance-esque book.

Victoria is off at college - which I can definitely relate to. As someone who went to both University and College, I can relate to the major

My Review:
Overall: 3.5
Performance: 4.0
Story: 3.0

Overall, I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. There were a few issues with the story though and I believe that part of that may have been world issues that weren't clarified...maybe. When the book begins, it's with Victoria realizing she has no memories of her life before this moment. And this is where I had the biggest issue with this story. The girl doesn't freak all. She's really rather chill and laidback about it all, and that just d

Well written. Nothing to deep or angsty but for sure held my attention.
A girl with no memory of yesterday or any days prior to her arriving at college. It was very intriguing and will continue on with the series.
I will admit: I will continue the series at a later time. I was just wanting to read something not so teeny.

This is an interesting take on alpha shifters finding their mates. This one the Mate had disappeared 40 years ago only to turn up five years ago with no memory of who or what she is. 40 years of searching leads to a very hot and strange encounter.

why????? I wanted to love it, I really did. But it was all over the place, some parts didn't make sense. After the she recognized the professor, it all went down hill after that.
( 3.5/5 stars Listened. Ever totally forget to review a book when you meant to? When I remembered, I started listening to it again to refresh my memory and got pulled right back into the story. So I have listened to it twice in about two months time. I think I liked it a bit better the second time, although I am not sure exactly why because there are problems.

So why did I keep reading this? I blame Romanceopoly. I needed a new adult set in college and this one was that AND it was paranormal (with amnesia!). My track record with most NA sucking (IMO) continues.....
This was so ridiculous. Victoria is a freshman at college with no memory of anything about her past. I thought she treated her amnesia (at least at first) in a "no deal big, I'll make new memories!" kind of way. She was shallow. It made more of a difference when her credit cards didn't work/

You know those kind of memory loss ideas where the character has forgotten everything… but still manages to talk, walk, drive a car, use a phone, do their makeup etc.
She can’t remember anything from before two days ago when she drove into the new college where she now lives but she comes fully equipped with a Jaguar car, laptop, phone (that’s connected and working), credit cards and a full luxury wardrobe.
And she remembers that she’s lost her memory… uh huh. *frowns*

Lost Wolf is the first book in the Curse of the Moon series and it's different to other paranormal stories I've read. Victoria arrives at college without any memories of her prior life and it surprised me that she doesn't put all her energy into finding out what happened. Instead she goes to college and tries to live a normal life. Her stats professor seems to trigger some lost memory but she doesn't try to find out any more. She let's Carter take her to the Jag regularly and that's the differen ...more

Great big tear inducing story of love lost to death but relocated with magic and fortitude. Victoria is just starting her freshman year of college in Washington State. She realizes she can't remember anything prior to arriving at The Waldensian, a mansion that holds 50 students of the college. She didn't realize she had no memories while she was running the forest trails and came across a wolf that she decided to speak to and it acted like a dog towards her. It wasn't until she made it back home ...more

The Author Stacy Claflin does an excellent job as she always does. Her writing gets better with each book.Lost Wolf Curse of the Moon #1 is a Paranormal Romance. The Author is able to take the reader into the story itself - so that you able to feel everything as it happens. You feel apart of the senses an the characters.

I found the h a DID that was forever waiting to be saved by one guy or another. She was also fairly watered down and whiney, not terrible, but too much for my tastes (disclaimer that I have actually found a lot of h's whiney lately, so maybe it's just me. But... she isn't as whiney as most of them have been). Overall, I didn't really like her at all. I didn't really like many of the characters. Soleil was great, and Tap & Brick. Everyone else was either blurred to insignificance or mostly irr

Lost Wolf is the first book I have read by Stacy Claflin. I absolutely plan to continue with this series. This book was nicely written, had wonderful characters, and an entertaining story.

Victoria has arrived at college when she suddenly discovers that she has no memories. She has no clue to her past; no trace of a prior life in this digital age. This leads to my biggest issue with the book. The girl handles it like this is an everyday occurrence. Her first thought is that she better make the m

Lost Wolf by Stacy Claflin is a great new book from this author. I am so happy that she has decided to expand her genre into the were community. Toby lost his love many moons ago and had given up on ever finding her so he went about going through life one day at a time. Victoria has no memories of Toby or their life together, but she knows him, right? After all, there seems to be some type of connection.

Claflin takes the same meticulous care she does with all her characters to create Toby and Vi

'The Lost Wolf' by Stacy Clafkin was an intense story. This is a story of love lost, then found. The pull between family, duty, and love. Victoria thinks she is a college freshman starting the next step in her life. Except she can't remember her past before arriving. The handsome Carter Jag takes an immediate interest in her. He introduces her to his world of luxury and excess, yet gives her friendship and help. When she meets her math professor something tickles in her memory. Professor Toby Fo ...more

A beautiful love story. I enjoyed the book but I don't think I would have been as calm as Victoria. At the beginning of the story she realizes she has no memory of her life before she arrived at college. I know I would have freaked out and had to do something besides pretend I was ok. She meets Colin who seems to be the perfect honest gentleman, but Victoria has no idea he is a jaguar shifter. First a friendly relationship starts with him and blossoms into caring for one another. Little does Vic ...more

I will admit I was frustrated along with Victoria about her mysterious past and not knowing who to trust. I just wanted to learn everything right away.😁 I couldn't help but find myself annoyed at the fact that she didn't listen to her instincts or brushed things off at times but I understood her apprehension. Finally getting some backstory on Victoria and Toby made me fall in love with them even more. Sorry Carter, but they're endgame.😍 Reading about her family life and the conditions she faced ...more

What a unique love story. Victoria arrives at college as a freshman. She does not remember anything prior to the day she arrived at school. On the first day of school in her math class she feels connected to the professor (Toby) who is really her long lost love.
