Since my conversion from a dancing master and a servant of the "Evil One" to an earnest Christian and a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, the question has been repeatedly asked me: "Is there any harm in dancing?" And letters innumerable have been coming in with questions to the same effect.

Ridiculous,

It reminds me why I'm glad I didn't live in the 19th century. Talk about double standards! If she had sex before marriage she was "ruined". She would be better off dead than ruined. According to this preacher writer, the waltz led to premarital sex. Then she would end up working in a brothel and dead by 25!

Interesting look-back to society of 1892. Although prudish by today's standards, he makes some interesting points about the connection between dancing, our emotions, and sin.
